If we can't discuss things that aren't in our control we may as well have no forum.

Anyway I'll elaborate, I'm worried that the Melbourne media will kick up a fuss about our umpiring this week and the Umps will go out if Thier way to make sure that isn't the case.

I still think we should win but I'm worried none the less.

The Dee's will be dangerous - especially through the midfield - but there was nothing out there tonight we can't handle and at coming to Perth is still a tough challenge for any team.

I expect Melbourne will come out all guns blazing. After a huge build up in the week the adrenaline will be in overdrive for their players. Weather the early storm and then use the week off and the finals experience we have built up in recent years to get on top of them.

We should all be very disappointed if we aren't lining up on Grand Final day.

Key to this game is starting well. Need to show up in the 1st qtr this time. Thats what cost us last time.

Melbourne has been in the lead all of their last 4 games if we get the jump on them.the doubts will come rolling back into their heads and then it will be all over.

I don't disagree but to suggest umpires have no impact on the game is just factually incorrect. I don't blame the umpires anyway, more so the AFL for having so much grey area in the rules.

That bus has already gone. They're already doing that. Three vic umpires making sure we don't get more free kicks. It stinks, why do we bother?

The fix is on. Dees living the dream. We're going to have to build a big lead early to snuff those campaigners out. The saving grace is they have never beaten us when JK is playing

We’ll smash these campaigners. If the Hawks had kicked straight in key moments it would have been all over.

Good on Melbourne for beating a Geelong team with about three good players and a very average Hawthorn but I reckon they might find it a bit harder to beat us in Perth with Kennedy and Darling up and about

We have played the majority of our home games in the afternoon and it definitely suits are game style more than night games. I also think it suits Melbourne too. Will be a cracker of a game

McEvoy was very good last night. Gawn was unable to impart his usual influence which allowed the Hawks to exhert greater influence over the stoppages.

Unfortunately for Hawthorn O'Meara was injured, Mitchell was missing an arm and they had a night to forget in front of goal.


If Lycett and Vardy are able to nullify Gawn, we should win comfortably. Surely they cannot fare any worse than what they did against him in Round 22.
