If we finish 4th or lower (assuming Geelong finish 1st) we wont win the flag this year so I say **** it, I hope Adelaide win and keep us on our toes. We play them in a few weeks anyway so destiny is still in our hands. If Adelaide beat us in Perth and we finish below them then so be it. Geelong's spot in the top 2 could come into equation too.

1. We finish 2nd and make the GF off of two Perth finals.
2. We finish 3rd and play 2nd place Collingwood who'd have demons from our finals run last year plus us beating them at the MCG this year already,
3. We finish 5-8 and play Fremantle in a derby final, we're not winning the flag from there anyway so might as well try and knock them out.

There’s a lot of Fig shit going around. Didn’t realise Geelong had already won the flag and weren’t worth pursuing.

I guess after Richmond coasted to last year’s flag I should have learned, but here we are.

Geelong are 1-10 after a week off over the past seven years (including pre-finals byes and the week off ahead of a prelim), and their lone win was by two points.

If they finish first they’re looking at one and maybe two ‘byes’ during their finals campaign. Let’s hold off engraving the trophy just for the minute.

Think I’ve mentioned this before top two is ideal for an assault on the flag. I don’t mind fourth it means we don’t see Geelong until grand final I don’t want them in a prelim and third likely puts us against Collingwood
