Laughable how hagdorn thought freo will push for top 8
They added Hamling, Hill, Kersten & McCarthy in the off season. 3 of those guys should be coming into their prime. McCarthy gets probably a bit of time as he has been out of the game for a while. (TBH he looked the most threatening of all the new recruits.. and that says something) That, with the return of Fyfe and Sandilands this year and they SHOULD be making the 8 this year.

Anything less for them is a failure, no matter how many years Ross Lyon says the rebuild will take.

Not me. Did Walker end up playing? They also had some mids missing iirc.

For a team that supposedly has doubts about their midfield they disposed of the much fancied GWS elite brigade. Coniglio could be a big loss for them early in the season.

Tipped 4 so far and picked Geelong who I think may lose as well. Not gonna bother changing that tip because it'll be more annoying if it doesn't work. Tipping is an insane endeavour particularly early on.

Walker didn't play, but you're right, GWS had a few out.

Bring in four new youngish players into a very regimented side like Lyon's and they're going to struggle.

McCarthy will still be quality for them when he gets back into it but Kersten is a hack and Hamling is no McPharlin

to be fair, kersten ain't that great. He played few years under hawkins at a great side and should have done much better but he didn't.
Or did he play a few years behind hawkins and literally every kick went to tummy

Needs to learn from Darling how to be an effective secondary forward to a dominant FF ;)

Bit rough on Tom, he works hard to keep the weight off I believe

Rampe's injury looks likely to open the door for exciting tall defender Aliir Aliir, who wasn't selected for the Swans' loss to Port Adelaide as he continues his way back from a tow injury.
First a towing injury and now a freak chain incident?

Is the cost of living there so bad that the Swans have to work second jobs or something???
