No objections, he's done his time. Boo him by all means but let's put it in context here, he was a successful player on GF day, enough to be rewarded with a Norm Smith medal, and he's doing something that the previous Norm Smith medallists have done. It's not like he's Jimmy Saville or Kim Jong Un.

Said before I think its a shit decision on many levels.
He isn't healthy you cant be "healed" from his problems after a few months and facing 100,000 people of which could Boooo the hell out of him might just put him back there. Surely mental health professionals would advise against this scenario so soon after an incident like he had.

Secondly it was terrible what he did. He has refused to accept its his behavior that saw those players sit out for a year. He constantly put himself above the players throughout the saga promoted the whatever it takes attitude. It will pass in time but thats what it needs...time. Another couple of years and then work him back in through Essendon...not the AFL. Trying to work him back in while the players he let down are still playing is just a tad insulting to me.

But this is the AFL.

this is why a national reserves comp would be perfect. Each team plays each other once and finals to be played in the last 4 weeks of the AFL H/A season. Then the teams that made the AFL finals play these sort of scratch matches during finals.

I think Wirra got AA with only 16 games one year? I can't remember too many who played less and got it.
