What did we expect when we don't have any key defenders*? Like us, they had a home game QF, and they only won 2 less games than us.

No, I am talking about the look of shock on his face. It's not like it wasn't foreseeable. I am just surprised Adelaide didn't get hold of them more.

I agree, the defences are pretty similarly undersized, however, Simpson has been saying all year it will catch us out at some point.

Simpson has been very good at managing expectations this year - cautiously optimistic

Chances of a derby GF are very good.

Can't be thankful enough for what Worsfold has done for Adelaide. Stepped up and helped dig a club out of something dark.

He's thoroughly enjoying himself, seems to have a great relationship with the players. We just pulled a game out of our arse, much like it appeared he did as a defender.

It's the most intriguing of this weekends finals because the fallout for the loser will be huge.

North loaded up with experienced players last off season in a push for a flag after making a prelim. To go out in the first week of finals would be a failure particularly considering their ageing list

Richmond have been the most unsuccessful team since the inception of the AFL (Northern AFL franchises aside) and desperately want a finals victory in the first time in over a decade

Both supporter groups also have some of the some of the most mentally unstable fans going around so the melts from the loser will be epic

I concur with these thoughts.

Both teams are also notoriously inconsistent which means it's nigh on impossible to predict what might happen.

The great thing for both our teams now is we can watch all this unfold safe in the knowledge that we not only have a prelim berth secured but that it's at home as well
