Do you reckon that's a communication specialist's opinion, or inside word from the top? I hope the former as the communication specialists have proven time and again that they are clueless when understanding AFL rules at all levels, both on field and off.

System isn't as bad as it looks.

If you are a poor side and get a player taken away with big $$ on a good contract then you get compensated. If you are a good side and lose the best player you get slightly dudded. Disadvantage the good, help the poor.

Seeing the better sides get more of the "preferred club" choices of players that want to move than it evens itself up in a strange way.

I feel for Buddy if his mental health is indeed the discerning factor to his lackluster form this season, plus his recent absence. It's a horrid thing to endure, so I certainly can't fault him if he wants to be away from the spotlight.
