I prefer it not being payed at all but different players are getting umpired differently due to perception.

It's a bit like ours from a few years back that looked like someone with paint on their hands had been playing grab arse with the wearer. Sadly, can confirm, no grab arse was played with me.

I like rapping, I think it is a genuine talent and hip-hop comprises a fair chunk of my Spotify library. But it's not a melodic genre of music. The problem with that is that in a live capacity it just ends up sounding like shouting, not dissimilar to an MC flogging promo deals over a PA system during the halftime break set to background music.

I also think indigenous culture is extremely special and unique, and would've preferred to see more of that on display rather than indigenous artists doing their best impression of American hip-hop artists.

Agreed; regardless of c-rap being hailed as the ‘new blues’ , it’s essentially unmelodic and translates terribly in a live medium.

And I worry that indigenous people feel they have to copy black music to be relevant - ever since No Fixed Address used reggae rhythms it’s sounded lame to me.
