But they beat the Crows who in their last few H & A were stretched by West Coast & North.QF final aside the pies really did fall in a heap in the 2nd half of the year.
One of the top 4 usually misses the next year, they'd have to be the prime candidate...although certainly not a given, especially with the light travel load they'll get.
Swans?Going add Draper , Allen and an absolute gun kid
Cats Marshall and worpol

We’ll lose again.Fitting the 2 teams who reamed us in GF will be versing each other in this year's GF. I think we're in for an all-time classic. I think it'll go to extra time.

37 at the beginning of next season is probably the real issue most of the board would reference. Date of birth isn’t imaginary as Father time catches. Pendlebury a similar vintage lasted 10 minutes tonight.Zorko is such a star.
If he was somehow available for trade, the majority of this board would say he doesn't fit out imaginary 'no dickhead policy'.
Finbar MaleySwans?

Hopefully, finals series has been average so far.Fitting the 2 teams who reamed us in GF will be versing each other in this year's GF. I think we're in for an all-time classic. I think it'll go to extra time.
Like the entire season to be honestHopefully, finals series has been average so far.
Neale to play from fagan
Pies aren't good enough to make it again.2022 Swans v. Cats
2023 Pies v. Lions
2024 Swans v. Lions
2025 Lions v. Cats
14 teams must be wondering when they'll get a turn at some GF action.
If the 2026 GF comes down to Pies v. Swans the AFL will feel compelled to make changes, most likely by axing some "perceived" Swans advantage. I can't see them taking away Nick Daicos' umpiring privileges.
I agree. They're probably not good enough but it was just a bit of speculation. "Gee, what if...."Pies aren't good enough to make to again.
Weirdly I agree. Being beaten by the lions seemed way more humiliating. And the way they carried on was in bad taste.I'll be supporting Cats in the GF. The reaming is not as sore. Besides, despite the traumatic memories I'm fascinated by watching Dangerfield in bull mode.
Yeah I'm with you there. It'd be interesting if it happened anyway.I agree. They're probably not good enough but it was just a bit of speculation. "Gee, what if...."
Bit of a mountain out of a molehill anyway. It didn't have that big an impact. Lions were by far the better team in the last quarter.I agree with Dunstall on the Elliot free kick.
It probably gets called a free kick most weeks. But it was not as obvious as John Ralph was saying. Starcevich keeps his eye on the ball and his fist hits the ball rather than arms.
Commentators seemed to re-capture their Melbourne bias. I'm glad the GF will once again feature no Melbourne teams.I agree with Dunstall on the Elliot free kick.

LOL if their beloved Nick Daicos had been umpired throughout the H&A the way all other players are, the Pies wouldn’t have been anywhere near a prelim. But their supporters can pretend that the decision against Elliott was the reason they aren’t premiers in 2025.
Love it.
I can tell you that Essendon and Carlton are going nowhere unfortunately.merger of two perpertually struggling Melbourne teams, like North and Essendon, then perhaps Carlton or StKilda can be re-located to form the nucleus of a new Darwin team.
It's funny how we can all see things so differently, I thought both the Lions players and supporters were incredibly graceful in victory last year.Weirdly I agree. Being beaten by the lions seemed way more humiliating. And the way they carried on was in bad taste.
But on the other hand Geelongs players and coach disgust me more.
Amazing that their elite system didn't kick into gear.Brisbane are well drilled , McRae should do some of his super coaching
Yeah, what? The result last year hurt but what did the Lions do?It's funny how we can all see things so differently, I thought both the Lions players and supporters were incredibly graceful in victory last year.
