At least it’s a good year to bottom out, a Mickey Mouse shortened year

Use our 2 top 5 picks on the best 2 mids

Agree with previous poster to trade brown for another first rounder

The middle tier are s**t on our list but our under 22 looks promising

Zurhaar
Larkey
Simpkin
LDU
Hayden
Curtis Taylor
Tarryn Thomas

Ben Brown has cooked himself. Contract year and he’s played s**t. He was a protected species before this year now free kicks have dried up for him and he’s showing why he wasn’t seen as talented enough to be drafted in the first place.

The Polec/Pittard trade is now looking like a lemon for North, given how much they are paying both of them and IIRC the first rounder Port got for them was used on Xavier Duursma.
We should have found a way to upgrade our first rounder

The issue was Tarryn Thomas was going to get bid on so we traded out our first pick so we could get Tarryn at pick 8 but using later picks

We needed to find a way to get our first pick inside the bid which is easier said than done so made do with next best option to have a free hit but should have chosen better players to go after again easier said than done

Pretty sure it was for butters , who looks to be even better than duursma

They guy who has kicked more goals in the AFL than anyone over the last 3 years wasn't talented enough to be drafted in the first place.

Good grief.

Drafted in 2013 with a speculative pick at age 21. What was he doing at age 18? Injured? Or just not good enough at the time?

Kicked plenty of goals from free kicks. North get looked after more than any team this year but umpires seem to have at least woken up to brown’s staging.

If other Cameron and Riewoldt got looked after like brown did they would kick 100

He'd get a gig ahead of Cox, laverde/Stewart, Tom McDonald, whoever Adelaide have at ff and whoever Sydney are playing next to Tom Papley.

I reckon he'd kill it at Geelong too and can also pinch hit as a ruck.

Yep brown at Geelong actually makes sense.

They have a power forward in Hawkins so brown can play his lead up role as more a second tall

Cats in the window and have multiple first round picks that they could easily offload one

Hawkins and Brown with Ratugolea as third option would be brutal with their midfield.

They don't mind nicking our talls either.

I was just about to post this having said that it's Goldstein that would benefit us the most but I'd be interested in Brown.

It was reported at the time (of signing these two) that Port were still paying $200k of Pittard’s contract. So he’s been pretty much a free hit for us.

Yes actually.

He did his ACL as an 18 year old.

Ben brown is 💯 worth a first rounder .
What has happened to Durdin is he injured?
