...to bring out the "tell us what your really thinking" posts in our BF supporters.

It's theraputic and good and we can all see where posters stand on issues and players.
However, a few players and all the members & supporters need to eat a bag of cement & harden the ____ up for a very tough away game against Adelaide. This is not the first time we've been to a dark place.
If we don't go over there united, we're finished...
Support Harvey and hope that the changes that need to be made are made and the team plays for the honour of the club & the jumper next round. Heck, play for their own honour - just don't repeat that effort today or we'll be prison r*ped.

We are fremantle. This is what we do.

I would say lets get Daniel Rich but we will pull enough games to finish nionth or tenth.

Tarrant wasn't that bad. Its just that oiur non existant midfield was just that. How we are misssing Hasleby. One of our only true midfielders.

Throughout the game I thought we would make a run for it but we never did. I expect the players did the same thing. Nobody did it themselves. A nothing game..a nothing result.

Just cruised around at subiaco, I don't mind the idea of Pav and Farmer further out and McPharlin deep but if the rest of our players arn't putting in whats the point. Peake was ordinairy but I shouldn't single any one player out.

Everyone thought it would happen and they'd get on the tail end of a handpass for goal but football is not like that. No intensity, no pressure, just cruising about.

Really unfortunate for Solomon and the teram as he is one of our high intensity players. Annoyed that we let Polak do so much, we really should of burried him for this game. We could've but opted to be more attacking.

Mayne was good and I can't blame Palmer for taking them on, how long till Hinckley gets a game or Foster or Ibbo? We need to look to the future and for the first time in six months I can see what everyone else saw. Getting Johnson and Bradley was a mistake.

The one thing to get out of this game is for the players in the midfield to have a good hard look at themselves or to finish in the bottom three and get a draft pick

I am 100% sure that we will go over to Adelaide and beat them, will even be putting money on it when the odds come out. Never been more certain about a result.

Yep expect us to lose an we will win

Expect us to win an we will lose

nothing has changed

An if we lose to adelaide go put $50 on freo to beat Geelong
If we beat adelaide we wont beat geelong

Its got nothing to do with talent at Freo its all in their heads an the effort they put in.
Need a damn phychologist at our team to get them to put in the same effort, apply the same intensity to every game not just derbys or games they want to win to prove themselves.

From memory, the last two times we have played you over in perth we have won by over 10 goals? Surely this time your mob will be movin heaven and earth to stop that happening again.

You watch if we lose to adelaide an everyone writes us off as overrated underachievers that wont even finish in the top 12

We will come out an beat Geelong by over 3 goals

Its the Dockers way, lose the easy game then win the game nobody thinks you can win. Lock it in Eddie.

Ill repeat it here !!!
Can only laugh at the moment because if you try and analyse the problems youll go Fxxxen Mad ..

The problems are there for all to see lets hope that the blokes who are getting paid very very well see it and DO SOMETHING.... We need to go back and play with aggression if we get reported for going hard at it so be it lets not get caught up in this media discipline crap ... we are soft and need to play as underdogs each week because in reality with our current list that is all we are going to be BARRY BATTLERs...

Good post TC. :thumbsu:

I would say lets get Daniel Rich but we will pull enough games to finish ninth or tenth.

The next 5 weeks are the key. Our next 2 home games will be tough so if we are sitting 2-7 or God forbid 1-8 we should put the cue back in the rack and look to 2009. The problem with the last 4 years is that we haven't been consistent enough to play finals regularly but we haven't been bad enough to get the early picks to bolster our midfield with real quality.

Tarrant wasn't that bad. Its just that our non existant midfield was just that. How we are misssing Hasleby. One of our only true midfielders.

Not only are we missing Hasleby's 20+ possessions and 5 clearances but the pressure falls squarely on Headland and Carr. Dessie plays well in the first 2 games so all of a sudden he gets a lot more attention. That leaves Josh needing close to 30 possessions for us to win because the middle tier of players aren't steppigng up.

Throughout the game I thought we would make a run for it but we never did. I expect the players did the same thing. Nobody did it themselves. A nothing game..a nothing result.

How often did the Richmond players win the footy goal side of their oponent? We were getting belted out of the middle but still let them get goal side, WTF is up with that?

Foster looked atleast 3 weeks off on Saturday.

Ibbo's as soft as Mundy and Peake IMO.

Hinkley looks a handy prospect but his skills aren't great. He does work hard and chase though, if it gets to a stage where we play the young blokes I'd like to see him given run with roles on pacey midfielders/half backs.

Thank God someone finally spoke the truth about Garrick Shitbbotson. The guy is only young so it may be too early to write him off as the next Dylan Smith/Ryley Dunn calibre crab, but he's clearly not within three years of being up to even mediocre AFL player standards. He's been nothing but shite since first stepping on the field for East Fremantle ... fits in quite well there at the moment.

Maybe one day we'll get a recruiting team which actually knows how to identify talent. One can only dream.

Venting over.

NF its not a new phenomena, the "cup is half full" brigade on this board have had their numbers thin for some time.

This forum is for supporters to discuss their club, the fact that allot wish to vent their anger at the club (within reason), I say vent away!

That's the part I don't get. Seriously - I'd really like someone to explain it to me.

How, if you know you're playing like shyte and the intensity is down - how can they not do anything about it?

Coulda, woulda, shoulda blah, blah, blah - but we coulda woulda shoulda beaten Hawthorn 2 weeks ago if not for the 3 goals we conceded in the first 25 seconds of the second, third and fourth quarters (and the two stupid goals we conceded in the dying seconds of the 3rd quarter).

Fast forward 2 weeks and what do we see? A Richmond goal in the first 30 seconds of the game.

Why, as a group, did they not go - hello, this looks familiar, we better get our shit together and lift our intensity.

Then they go into quarter time 5 goals to 3 down - how can they not think, geez we were crap that quarter. We were outplayed by last years wooden spooners. We really need to get our shit together and lift our intensity.

So they go take their positions for the start of the 2nd quarter and do it all again. The same again, if not worse!!! Nothing but a brief spark, get to within 10 points, get us all excited and then... back to sleep.

So another 5 goals to 3 quarter and they are looking pathetic, and they go into the half-time break, and we are all thinking... this can't be how it turns out. They'll pull it all together now.

But nooooooo... they come out for the third quarter and dish up the same shit again.

It's three quarter time and we're now 6 goals down and I am thinking, alright fellas, even if the game is out of reach, how about you win the last quarter, how about some pride.

What was I thinking???

So what I don't get is how can there be no change in their attitudes, or so little done - not so much by the coach, although I am sure that must come into it too - but by the players themselves?

They've got 2 hours, it's not like a bloody sprint where you make it or break it in the 10 second you've got. 2 hours to make the changes. Apart from about 5 minutes in the second quarter, Richmond owned the game.

What happened to "wresting the momentum"? Why was it so hard to start chasing a bit harder? To get in there and get first hands on the ball? To start looking interested?

How can you start so crap, and stay so crap for 2 hours of footy? How can you not say, "geez we're getting belted, we'd better lift our game"?

Seriously, I just don't get it. :o

... to see what we are made of the next week.

I wholeheartedly agree with much of the sentiment expressed here, and elsewhere, by Fremantle's faithful. But I do know that despite our dearth of success, every Fremantle fan I know loves this club.

I have faith that whatever problems we have, organisationally and within our football division, that they are being addressed.

As it's been said, our players have to start treating our jersey and our club with the respect it warrants, the respect that everyone here, and every supporter at the game possesses.

I love purple, the boys need to want to die on the football field for this club.

Let's hope Harvey can get them to do this.

We will beat Adelaide and Geelong, then lose by 300 points to Melbourne IMO.

Not even looking foward to playing Carlton.

I hope you beat Adelaide. Those bastards stole our place in the AFL.

Aww diddums:D

Now back on topic......

You guys always seem to match up ok on us. I can tell you there are a few on the Adelaide board a bit apprehensive about this one. Shades of last year.......
