Suffice to say I'm now firmly in the leave it retired camp.

I reckon Daicos will be drafted first to get the number 35, what happens after that is anyone's guess but would like for him to forge his own identity

I think it's done now, or should be done.
Was tried, served its purpose but it's a bit meh, so better if that's moved on.
Maynard was or is the obvious 3, but I heard he likes and wanted to keep 37, maybe he was waiting for Caff to pass it on. Any Intel on that.

I'm a bit fascinated by who gets what number.

(I always wanted Scharenberg to get 5, but Elliot jumped in, sneaky but effective.)

I'm a bit ambivalent about giving young players a specific number, because it's thought they might be the new Millane or new Bennie Johnson. I've probably been guilty of it myself, but it can set up unrealistic expectations, and then disappointment in fans. Give someone an available number and then let them get on with it.

Why can't we have players' names on their jumpers too? Why is that not an AFL thing?
