Further proof perhaps that RL remains the undisputed dominant football code and game of choice in Qld?
Or possibly that very very few players come from WA, SA, VIctoria, Tassie or NT.

grayham said:Nice stats.
Conclusions:
Vic should only have 8, (9 max) teams.
SA could have another team.
If the Lions were allowd QLD and NT as a "zone", then they would be self suffient in players.
Similarly, Swans are very near self sufficient.
I suspect the QLD numbers will substantially go up after the next draft.

Papa G said:This is exactly why people in SA and WA that are pushing for a third team need their heads read. Per capita SA/WA are stronger football states and with 2 teams in each state this further enhanced. Conversly, with 10 teams in Victoria, per capita and team wise they are weakened. This gives the SA and WA teams a competitive advantage.
Any Crows, Eagles, Port or Freo supporter calling for a new team in their respective state is a total minda. Perceptions that this would reduce the Vic centric power base is moronic. By having another team in either Sa or WA would in fact reduce your own teams power base.
afc9798 said:Well that's just proven that 2 Vic. Clubs have to go, SA is holding up a full extra squad and WA is also contributing extra. NSW is almost holding its' own as is Queensland. The odd one out is Victoria. Point proven![]()
Incidentally the Irish figure must be incorrect as there is Kennelly and Sultana Hairpin.
