Big Knockers may need 1 more game, he is still very lightly built remember and had an interrupted preseason. + Hawthorns rucks are pretty poor so we could perhaps utilise the pace of Happy around the ground.

Was McManus injured, or "injured"? I know a lot of people in Perth have been calling for his head.
Don't want to dwell on the negatives but the selection errors of R1 now mean we effectively blood 3 players in one match (Ibbo has only played one).
However, great to see them and congratulations to Chris Mayne for the call up so early and after a #40 draft selection. Lets hope we have unearthed a gem there.

He would no doubt be next cab off the rank for a defenders possie....BUT, who do you drop at present afetr 1 game? If McPharlin ends up going forward again & again does well, I'd suggest Drum may be in line for a derby recall.
Drum for Tazza next week. I think he can play forward back or even wing.

In typical McManus fashion this will just give him a quick kick in the backside and come back a lot hungrier. Expect him to collect the odd 40 or 50 possessions in the WAFL this weekend.

I am very happy to see Palmer, Ibbo and Mayne named. Throw in Foster, Warnock and O'Brien and our future midfield isn't looking so bleak!

Good to see some changes being made and those changes being kids,BUT lets not have some come here on Sunday or Monday if we get beaten and say,"WE MADE TOO MANY CHANGES TO THE SIDE,BROUGHT IN TOO MANY KIDS".

Harvs has said hes soming of injury an wants to ease him back in.
Even if warnock plays crap he needs to play alot of games fro freo this year or else im sure he will go to some other club.
When solly comes back i think MCarr will be out of the side.
We will still see Mcmanus play between 5 an 10 games this year.
As these young guys will not be able to play every game an need to be rested every so often to give their bodies a chance to recover.

That is not what calling someone a "flat track bully" is, and it is certainly not an indication of MacManus's style at all. He plays his best whenever he is on the field, not only when is going his way. He is a veteran at the end of his career, no shame in that, and he is still making a useful contribution to the team.
