What does everyone think our best 22 will be next year. Heres mine:

B:Hudgeton Penny Baker

HB: Voss Maguire Jones

C: Dal Santo Hayes Montagna

HF:Koschitzke Riewoldt Hamill

F: Milne Gehrig Guerra

R:Knobel Ball Harvey

Int: Goddard, Blake, Thompson, Powell

I hope Brooks comes along and I think Gram, L Fisher and the Clarke boys will push for selection (maybe to replace Guerra,Thompson or Powell???)

powell on instead of montagna. your kidding if you think montagna's best is better than powells, obvioulsy selectors think powells best is better than montagna if he can't even make it in the side.

Agree tho with clarkes not there and also gram showed a lot of promise in the first quarter of the game he got injured, giving us great run from the backline

Also one you havn't mentioned is fiora, although i don't think he has proven to be in best 22

id have powell before montagna. goddard and guerra will have to lift to keep his spot too.

Brooks, Gram, L Fisher , Ferguson , Clarkes, Fiora, Schwarze, Peckett would all be good to fill in spots.

Can't argue with that. We probably have 30 players that could be regulars.

HF: Hamill, Riewoldt, Montagna
F: Milne, Gehrig, Koschitzke

how can you think of putting fiora in the side when we don't know how is going to fit into the side and what role he'll play, although his on the bench if they want him to play on the wing or on the ball there will be too many you have to think of the balance.

Yeah, i just think that all he needs is a fresh start. St.Kilda have given him that oppurtunity he is ready to repay the saints for that, and he will be a very good player. He was picked up number 3. He must have potential. Thats my reasoning behind it.

What are you guys gonna do with Sam Fisher. Played well when given a chance but no one even mentions him, not even in their 8 emergencies.
To answer your question. Yes, Chips played very well when given the oppurtunity. He was originally a foward. So is quite versitle and im extremely confident we will not let him go.

half forward line is too tall
mix it up a bit still have them on the field just swap them around
What are you talking about?......... You talking about if Sam Fisher played in the foward line. Because if you are.... he probably woulnt get a starting game for the saints. But if he did i would put him Foward pocket and move kosi into the ruck.

Yeah i rate that team except powell on instead of gram or goddard and mayb knobel on the bench apart from that it's good!
I think the main problem for all of us is deciding on a foward flank, wing and whether to put Baker or Fisher in the back pocket

This is my team and the reasoning behind it.
B: L.Fisher, Penny, Hudgton
(L.Fisher takes the small foward and frees up Bakes to tag a midfielder. He also does a great job. Penny great backman and plays tight on his opponents. Maxy is the same, good backman gives his all for the club.)
HB: Jones, Maguire, Voss
(Aussie runs off the backflank so well. We have seen it for years and it has earnt him an All-Australian spot. Goose always does something affective, he's 20 and strong takes on the centre half fowards. Vossy is courages, loves the hard ball and backs himself into contest, and wins)
C: Baker, Hayes, Dal Santo
(Having Bakes on the wing lets him take on a midfielder. He is tough annoying and a great player and tagger. Lenny is just a star, and he gives us so much drive through the midfield, has shown with his captaincy that he is a great leader. Is also a fantastic tackler. Dal is also a star. He showed heaps last year and i think will win the brownlow. Lovely skills and always does something right.)
HF: Goddard, Riewoldt, Powell
(I was tossing up between Goddard and Montagna. I just think that Goddard needs to be given a chance and show everyone that he is worthy number 1 pick, and he can start in our 22. Riewoldt, I dont need to say anything. He is a star and is amazing for our club. I think Powell would be good on the foward flank he can take out the oppositions running half back and applys good foward line pressure.)
F: Milne, Gehrig, Hamill
Milney, when hes hot hes hot, when hes not hes terrible. He is too valuable to the St.Kilda team and I think will have a consistent season in the foward pocket. Gehrig, Coleman medallist, over 100 goals, strong, intimadating and an all round great player. Hamill, I think it would be good to see Hamill and Fraser out of the goal square together. He can also push up to the half foward line give Roo a hand and then push back to the goal sqaure. We we're talking about saving his body and i think it would be more safe in the foward pocket than on the flank.)
RUCKS: Kosi, Harvey, Ball
(Kosi, is a great player and a very good ruckman. He needs to watch his injuries and he will be a great ruckman for us. He can also push foward and kick goals. Harvs is a superstar, and an inspiration to the St.Kilda Football Club, he would be set for a big last year. Bally is a fantastic player and a great tackler. Will be a future captain of the club and gives us alot of drive through the midfield.)
INT: Thompson, Blake, Montagna, Fiora
(Thommo played very well off the bench last year and is set for a big last year. He adds more to our good midfield and is a very good player. Blakey showed alot of potential, especially when he shut down Goodes in the Semi-Final. Does a great job from reliveing the ruckman and is mobile around the ground when running with other ruckman. Showed that against Goodes. Montagna played very well at the end of the year before getting injured. Can kick goals and thats what we want from our smaller players. Fiora, is a Number 3 pick in the Draft before Pavlich. So he must have potential and im positive that he will find it at the Saints. Can be used on the foward flank which is what we want. Has a beautiful left foot kick on him.)
So thats my thinking of it.
