I think Geary deserves the job , he is inspirational and gives his all every week. I don't know why someone here doesn't like him but I do. Anyway , he gets it till he retires then it will depend on the form of Mav and Newnes or even Steven but we will decide when that comes around.

Originally was in favour of Geary but of late I'm hoping Armo gets the gig. 29 next year we'll liked and has the runs on the board. Let him skipper for a season or two with Newnes/Weller as vice before then handing the reigns over.

At the end of the day, geary is not a good enough player to be an afl captain and would actually be embarrassing to the club if he does get it. It's tough, I think it will be Geary or Armo, but don't think either are ideal.

Newnes, Steven and Weller not quite ready (for different reasons).

Roo honestly should still be captain, so it gives the above 3 one more season to solidify their credentials.

When you see a few things it's pretty clear it should be Gears. From going with roo and the kids last year down to Tasmania to being the first to contact Nathan Brown.

Why isn't Newnes ready?

None of this 2 years rubbish then hand over the torch. Newnes is a natural, unheralded, business time leader, a blue collar super competitor (nice change up for the next dynasty), will thrive with the role, has seen Roo and Lenny go about their business for years, and will be 25-26 when this group is ready to go bang. Great example of a mean player who can step up with great skill.

I think Geary will get it, and won't argue with that.

Not about Armo, Steven or Monty as skipper at all.

I want to see the return of the vice captains.
Armo for Skipper with Weller and Gears vice captains.. We want captains in every part of the ground. Hell make Newnes vice aswell.
Why bloody not. Its not like you cant have enough captains.
