Round 7 - Richmond (MCG)
Round 8 - West Coast (PS)
Round 9 - Port (AS)
Round 10 - Saints (PS)

Realistically we should win all four, with Richmond probaby the most dangerous game in my opinion, as well as the Saints if they can dramatically improve over the next few weeks.

If we can come out fresh after the bye all four games are winnable and we would be sitting at 8-1 on the ladder. Would place us in a terrific position for the rest of the season as well as the fact we will start gaining a few players back.

After a terrible pre-season the season is looking very good, credit to all the boys the Doggies win last night was so important in my books. :thumbsu:

I've got bad memories of Richmond last year. Damn hippies ruined my 21st.

TBH the Derby is a 50/50 game. I am not being a smart arse (and before any WC supporters accuse me of stuff...go away ;) Quinz, I'm looking at you!) but being that we are top 4 and they...aren't, they will want bragging rights.

While we should beat the Saints at home, it will still be a tough game.

Would have loved to play them in the first 3 weeks, but they may be firing by round 8-9 when we play them

I agree. Think the derby will be our greatest challenge out of those 4.

I hate the Karma bus as much as the next pedestrian, but it's not like the OP has come out saying we WILL win them all.

Not at all. I said that they are all winnable, and also mentioned Richmond next week is very much a danger game.

Nah, good teams give Karma the 'big don't argue'. We should win all four. Looking forward to the Saints - we owe them and it'll be another sign of regime change, which, whether you're talking north Africa or the AFL, is always good.:)

Stupid thread. Please delete.

Why? I'm simply alluding that we have made it through the tough start of the fixture and now have a well deserved bye at a great time. The next four weeks are full of positive challenges in which every game is winnable. I've seen a lot stupider.

I admire your optimism, but even with my most purple sunnies on I still can't agree with the bit in purple. Richmond beat us last year in Melbourne, and their team is much stronger now. St Kilda are a long way from easybeats, and frankly even Wet Toast will be a greater challenge this year. No easy games in any of those, and the skill level we displayed last night won't get us over the line against Saints or West Coast.

Agree that last night's win (and our two away wins) are critical.

Richmond are a funny team, still carrying some absolute spuds but have some pretty decent top end talent, need to be careful against them.

Both Richmond's top 5 established players and their 5 best young kids are quality - I do think they still struggle in the ruck and down back. Far from easybeats, as they showed against us last year, especially at the 'G.

Strange things happen when we play Richmond in Melbourne! I was at the game last year at Etihad and it was like the bermuda triangle! Pav falling over his bootlaces, Balla getting pinged on the interchange and missing goals from dead in front. Richmond have the ability to play above themselves and have some quality young blokes. It is definitely a danger game.

I'm still staggered by how we lost that game. Should have won and it cost us a top 4 spot in the end.

We should beat them quite easily though if we bring the same intensity we showed last night.

Adelaide had a thread on their board claiming they could go 6-0 after round 1.

These type of threads don't end well.

For a laugh check out the thread on the Richmond board. Scrape over the line against North and suddenly being in the 8 by midseason is a likely scenario. :D
