Laughable that some of the same posters who get into Papley about his leadership are the same who pump up Greene as a leader.
After mouthing off at half time he still ended the game with less touches and scoreboard impact than a fresh from injury Papley too.
Would have looked even more stupid if his teammates didn't carry him to victory.

Paps sent him a pic of him wolfing down some Maccas at midnight along with a video of him getting his skinfold results. Toby admitted he looked in good nick
That's the infuriating thing about Greene - he seems like a genuine guy off the field and clearly is mates with a few of ours, but he turns into an absolute grub on it.

I'm not buying this "he's such a nice bloke off the field" crap. It'd be a lot easier to swallow the whole "Greene just suffers from white line fever" rhetoric if he hadn't been charged with beating the shit out of a guy off the field (and then basically only lamenting the financial cost of it.)
As for his "leadership", what is this based on? GWS are as flakey as us. They made one GF and got belted by a bigger margin than any GF we've been in. The highest they've finished on the ladder under Greene's captaincy was last year when they finished 4th - and went out in straight sets after choking 30+ point leads in back-to-back finals. I suppose him mouthing off was responsible for GWS' dominant second half though (not the spray from Kingsley that multiple players have acknowledged was the actual spark), so kudos to Greene. He did owe them after kicking only one goal from his last four derbies, all losses.

Completely agree on the leadership part. Elsewhere people are asking if GWS should strip him of the captaincy yet some here are suggesting he's Paul Kelly reincarnate.

It feels born more out of frustration with Mills' leadership, or perceived lack thereof, than anything. But IF Mills is lacking as a leader - I still think it is too soon to tell - two wrongs don't make a right, and it doesn't make Greene this great one either.
This weekend?
