So a bid on Daicos in the top four and Darcy in the top six mean we end up with 39 and 40 instead of 42 and 47? And our original 40 goes back to 37 for the tigers?

If that's right the CCJ trade looks alot better all of a sudden.
Yeah, correct.

Wowsers, it seems like a few teams think this Francis Jason-Horne kid could be something special. Have there be such audacious plays for the no.1 pick before?
I can't remember anything like this. Usually there is curiosity around who will be picked at 1, but not these attempts for clubs to get this obvious no. 1 for themselves.

As long as my calculations are correct, Yes.

A bid at pick 2 for Daicos would take out picks 27,36,43,46,48 and creates a new pick at pick 55 with the left over points
A bid at pick 3 - Picks used 27,36,43,46 and creates pick 62 with the leftover
A bid at pick 4 - picks used 27,36,43,46 and creates pick 49 with the leftover

Re Darcy,
A bid at 4, would take out picks 23,44,45, 52 - creates pick 60 with the leftover
A bid at 5 - would take out picks 23,44,45 - creates pick 72
A bid at 6 - woult take out picks 23,44,45 - creates pick 62
Pick 43 has now gone from the Pies to the Dogs for Lipinski which changes a few things.

Cornes and Lloyd on trade radio , North should have taken Adelaide’s offer.
Lloyd went through a list of number 1 and 4 picks over the previous years and cornes bought up the points for the picks on offer and that ‘he might want to go home in 6 years’.
No mention on how good JHF could be and previous number 1 means nothing for this year.
Get ready for the sh*t show when Jason has a average game.
It is ironic Lloyd said this as when he was drafted he was the JHF equivalent. Who won out of that I wonder.

So he's being compared to players like:

Fyffe> no premierships,
2x Brownlows (2015), (2019)
Buckly> No Premierships,
1x Brownlow (2013)
Dangerfield > No premierships
1x Brownlow Medal (2016)

Voss> 3x AFL Premiership: 2001, 2002,
2003
1x Brownlow Medal
: 1996

Judd> 1 premiership(2006)
Brownlow Medal: (2004, 2010)

l know which 1 l would prefer....

Should have accepted Adelaide's offer they really wanted hugh Greenwood back

Dusty is too old now, if they want salary relief it better be for someone good a bit younger.

Just scanned through their list and they only had 1 young guy that was any good, but we just got him for a second rounder.
Rooboy96 you obviously know nothing about my lack of abilities in this area

Saw this weird argument a few days back. Premierships are won by teams.

Whilst this is true, I thought Hardwick was sure to be sacked when I saw Dusty chip scabbing 30 odd touches a game in the back half one year.

Next season, Dusty played without a defensive bone in his body with mainly forward half touches and the team allowed him this luxury.

HUGH GREENWOOD HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The "go home factor" is rubbish too. Once the kids get a taste of the good life in Melbourne, they don't want to go back. Particularly to Adelaide.
Exactly.

Parents can literally drive down for the game, have dinner and spend the night with the young man, then head home the next day. Same for his mates, they would love the weekend footy trips to Melbourne.

And if mum or dad wants to get down fast, flights are cheap.

The whole player leaving after the rookie deal thing is because of the QLD clubs really - it it not a day trip for most states.
