I'm starting 3 as well on ground at the moment. Its tough though, i feel a lot will get a game round one and could be out the following week leaving a lot not playing if you pick the wrong ones. Rayner should be safe, I think Venables will get a few weeks at least. I currently have Ryan as well, but feeling West Coast are not going to do that well this year, neither of them will be great scorers. Top 5 is tough, and i think you have to spend up a bit for any peace of mind. Ranyer, Fritsch, Fogarty. Stephenson may be Ok too. The 5th will probably come in the form of one of the West Coast Forwards, but which one if a toss of the dice.Top 5 Forward Rookies? Going risky and looking to start 3 on ground... lol.
I can't believe you commented on all of them but didn't mention Westhoff! Haha. That's my biggest no no. Could never see any reason to put him in. At least you can make some semblance of an argument for the rest of them.First thing to catch my eyes was starting with Darcy Cameron on your field! Ballsy but I'd be lying to say I haven't thought about it if Cameron is named round one, gives you the option to spend a lot more cash around the field.
You've got quite a bit of midprice mayhem going on mate, blokes like Marchbank, Short, Taberner, De Boer and Newman hold some massive risk without any kind of proveness (if that's a word) I know every season we have a couple of midpricers take it to that next level but for every midpricer who becomes a gun there's half a dozen of them that do nothing. It's a big risk to be playing with so many.
Have a look at downgrading one or two of them into rookies, that should then free up the cash to bring in some premos.

I didn't want to make a point on every single player, it is sahan1's side though not mine. Without a doubt a player I wouldn't be starting with but just to be a bit of a smartass I will say he has averaged over 80ppg every year since 2013. Between Newman, Short, Taberner & Marchbank they've only ever had one season over 80.I can't believe you commented on all of them but didn't mention Westhoff! Haha. That's my biggest no no. Haha no way! That's actually half decent. I wouldn't pay 600K for that as he has literally no ceiling, but interesting food for thought. My pick of the litter would have been Newman, as he had some ridiculous scores last year and a 129 in JLT 2. Could continue that trend this year, but that would be far too risky to even considerI didn't want to make a point on every single player, it is sahan1's side though not mine. Maaaaan, that side is ridiculously close to mine. On that note I must comment on how good the side isThe latest version of my team has seen me swap Parker down to O'Meara to free up some cash for rookie upgrades. My early scores will drop slightly as Parker will outscore O'Meara by 10-30 points a game, however I now have an extra 82k to spend in the early weeks and my rookie JS will be about as good as you can get.
Hopefully with 3 days until lockout my team will only change another 10 times max

As a matter of a fact the only different players I have is one of those who you traded, Parker, Petracca & Lloyd where you have Dow, Billings and Hibberd. You've also got 82k to spend where as I'm currently sitting with exactly no cash. I have two different rookies with Frampton & Keefe where you've got Flynn & Ryan.
Great minds must think alike aye!
Newman has such a Fantasy friendly game, has what it takes to be a future gun. With Horse as his coach, job security no guarantee and the potential of second season syndrome I won't touch him. (He can make for a great late draft pick though) The potential is there, sometimes you just never know.

Thinking I'm going to pay up for Rayner, Stephenson, Fritsch just for that JS. Scoring wont be high but still all have that ability to make 150k. Hopefully we get some cheapie 170k's round one.I'm starting 3 as well on ground at the moment. Simpson and savage or Laird and Walters?
Have Sicily can swing forward to make the change. Just feel Laird is slightly over priced

Hopefully...but unlikelyFogarty is likely keeping Walkers spot warm, he'll then have to likely wait for the match committee to lose patience with Jenkins.
hopefully that is round 2....
Agree. Wastehoff has punched out a few 120 games on the trot early in the season before.I didn't want to make a point on every single player, it is sahan1's side though not mine. Who is your 170k?Gibbs + 170k forward or M. Crouch + Fritsch
Crouch and Fritsch pretty easily for mine, I'd expect Crouch to score better and be more consistent than Gibbs and Fritsch has a better job security than any of the limited 170k rookies up forward.Gibbs + 170k forward or M. Crouch + Fritsch
Why does logic always have to win?Crouch and Fritsch pretty easily for mine, I'd expect Crouch to score better and be more consistent than Gibbs and Fritsch has a better job security than any of the limited 170k rookies up forward.
If those were the only options I would go BRedden + Kreuzer
Or
Rocky + Nank
Other suggestions? If those were the only options I would go B
