No argument from me re Mckenzie, ie he is nowhere near big enough to get the job done as a 3rd tall at AFL level, and his kick aside my opinion is there is still something missing re him taking on a smaller player/distributor type role in the AFL as well.

Not sure about Lienert either, he is another in be tweener size wise, and I would love to be as sure of winning x-lotto as I am that he didn't go anywhere near as hard at the contest as he could have on at least two occasions in a game that I attended at Alberton last season, and assuming my eyes weren't deceiving me a trait like that usually gets exposed big time at the highest level.

The Toump is obviously goneski, and even though he has at times shown some X factor, Hewett is another who is unlikely to survive the end of season cut.
The most disappointing thing about McKenzie for me is that at SANFL level he's very good so I was thinking that he might do alright at AFL level but when he played on Stringer vs Essendon he was super slow and just got well beaten.

Scott Lycett. I know not everyone agrees but whatever. Free agent. Proven he can play as a ruck in tandem. Ryder is reasonably old and broken. Frampton hasnt had a game in 4 years despite the need for a ruck. Ladhams has a bung knee. Hayes is very young. Both Ryder and Hayes have the forward game to play in tandem with another ruck. Lycett is the bridge and hes a solid agressive bridge.
Would be an answer but I'd be more ready to believe in the Bunyip than another Lycett coming home rumour.

Playing him on stringer is horrible coaching.
He looks slow even at sanfl level. Id like us to try him as a forward. Its his only hope of saving his career. Decent leg (thats an understatement) strong mark. Can see him being pretty handy up forward.

Wouldn't be surprised if Pittard is on the trade table at season's end.

Agree. Really under the pump. He would be feeling it as he's a pretty emotional bloke.

McKenzie and Trengove were cheap, low risk acquisitions. I don’t think we played McKenzie well at AFL and I think he has a role but really most as depth. Trengove has shown himself to be excellent depth.

We need depth in key position/ruck (as every team does) and outside mid/forward flank. I think that the back six are relatively settled so it would be unlikely that we could snag an experienced, ready to go KPP/ruck who is happy to play as depth. So probably to the draft for that.

Hatley and Rozee should be prime targets at the draft so trades to improve our draft hand are a must. I’d have Neade, Amon and Pittard all up for trade. I can’t see many others wanting to leave, being expendable and netting us much of value.

What do we think of jordan roughead as a free agent? Decent back up ruck for a few years and can play forward.
Could be handy. In sure marshall being so young will go theough form slumps.
Roughead could be a good backup ruck and forward.

Don’t think he’d come here as back up to play in the SANFL

Imagine he would be valuable... to us? Yeah... but nah... wouldn't fit in the backline... up forward? We got Dixon watts Marshall and westhoff floating around so wouldn't fit there either...

Maybe viable as depth, we having no KPF depth and Hayes will take time, so as d path could be handy. But can’t see him coming here to play SANFL waiting for an injury or suspension to hand him a chance.

For the right value or better, everyone's contract should be available on the trading table. Some contracts seem untradeable because no other team would offer what we take as the right value for them.
