I wish Jasper the best but they all wanna have his babies on the North board what am I missing? we know his best is decent but I feel like he's setting them up for a brain fade clanger fest of epic proportions.. it will happen it's just him.

basically they believe he was a shit nobody at port. He’s a good pickup for what they paid for him but it just goes to show how little they know of port players over there.

I can’t work out if you’re taking the piss here or have misread something? Sam Gray had like 7d. and 1 point. Was this sarcasm that I haven’t picked up on..

I did laugh out loud during the broadcast when he marked 30 out and a commentator said he is within range. Didn’t score.

Not a great year to finish bottom to be honest in terms of the draft.
Yeah but in terms of fan blowback its a great year to finish bottom, because everyone has already asterisked the season and it'll be easy to forget ever happened.

As nice as it would be if the crows finished bottom, I would prefer they finished around 11-13 mark. They may actually get a draft right if they get pick 1.
And then what would I do with all these wooden spoons I bought?

The treatment English gets in the media is fairly baffling to me. He’s young, and I personally wouldn’t expect much from a ruck as young as him so I would be prepared to cut him slack but the media cuts him and the dogs so much slack that I can’t imagine being given to other players still developing.
He is legit belted week in week out in the ruck. I’m all for developing and being patient with players but I reckon the media would crucify many other young players in teams costing their teams games.

hitouts at 3/4 time are currently

Ryder 25
Marshall 12

English 7

7 hitouts in 3/4s is abysmal from your number 1 ruck.

Dixon got 4 as our 3rd ruck last night lol.

And they have Freo, Docks and Melbourne in round 3.

We could be in for a pretty strange 8 this year.
I don’t care about any asterix, every premiership has had different rules.

Yep I’m absolutely buying into a premiership this year. Each team plays each other once, finals are the same, it’s as fair as can be. There’s no reason it shouldn’t carry as much weight as last year’s premiership.

port winning it would be the only side side bar west coast to win it that hasn’t had cola or a first pick priority pick, and even west coast has had phenomenal home grown advantage over the years and a pick 19 priority pick. (We got a pick 28 priority pick once for 2 years with **** all wins)

Isn't a permanent 17 game season what the AFLPA's been pushing for anyway?

I don’t see why 17 and not 18 (if you wanted to make the change)

double up the derbies. Fans would love it, broadcasters would want that. Grounds would want it. Better result than 17 in every way. Still a fair draw one game doesn’t make a draw uneven.

I don’t understand why saints loaded up on players like Howard Jones Hannebery and hill. Gave up good picks for all (except Jones May have been free agent?)

they are not contenders and those players would do nothing but take them from a bottom four team to a bottom 8 team. What’s the point? Just stay the course and draft around max king etc. probably afraid they would get punted from the league
They've got zero middle aged talent. Those guys aren't gonna win a premiership but when their next crop is ready they could be valuable experience veterans.
