1 behind in my tipping comp at work.

Doggies a chance over GC this week? I reckon they'll win.

Your point? A shit journalist is a shit journalist.
Ali Clarke is not a journalist. She writes opinion pieces and now News Ltd have given her the title of "Football Writer". That doesn't make her a journalist.

To give credit where credit is due, it was Ali Clarke nee Carle that stopped me listening to commercial radio. She is the type of person that gives blonde women a bad name.

And after Jenna Jameson did so much to give them a good name. :)

THE AFL is aware of uncertainty among journalists and fans surrounding the interpretation of the holding the ball rule and incorrect disposal. So this week they have clarified the rule for footy satirist Titus O’Reily
LIKE variable ticketing, the AFL believes this is not a problem of the AFL’s making, but more that fans and journalists are a bit thick and have trouble understanding most things.
The holding the ball rule is a key component of our wonderful game.
We must reward the tackler, but we should also think about the feelings of the tacklee.
There are five key components to the rule.

Has he given up writing satirical pieces?

Tom Watson said :
"Not being disrespectful to Kane Cornes because he’s a fine player but he does have a reputation in the competition for falling over more often than a one-legged drunk in a hurricane and he doesn’t take a lot of force for him to go to ground and he did that on Saturday night. It is something he really needs to take out of his game.”

How is that not being disrespectful? He's saying Cornes is a stager. Goddard gave Cornes one to go on with behind the play and it was hard enough for Cornes to go down. However, I think Cornes would have preferred if we'd been paid a free kick that led to a goal.

I reckon even Tiger Woods would have more credibility on this issue than the person who said the above o_O

Ablett is done for the year... Robbie for the brownlow!
Was just about to post the same thing when I heard, Grayza would be a good chance to finish top 5 if he & the club finish the year off strongly of course.

Gazza's injury sucks for the Suns, my fantasy sides & because they'll slide out of the 8 most likely for the Tingles...

Im leading my tipping comp at work, and a big chance to blow it this week, a few curly tips this round.

We will poll less Brownlow votes than both Adelaide and Collingwood.

At least I didn't say Gary Player.

A few of the expected wins for the Suns will be out of most people's ladder predictors. Even Essendon could have a chance now. Although a few people have even been saying Collingwood are a chance to drop out. They've got a tough run home and could lose 5 out of their last 7 games. Wonder what compo Eddie would ask for if that happens?

Ah, the ol' "Not being disrespectful, but [insert disrespectful comment here]" technique.

Gets used way too much.

And we'll finish above both on the ladder: what do you think will be remembered in years to come?

It's no coincidence that Gerard Whateley and Caroline Wilson are high on the list of most credible of all AFL media commentators, is it. You do NOT have to have played at the highest level to be taken seriously as a football analyst.

Exactly
on Footy Classified Gary Lyon often resorts to retorts to Hutchie
"yeah but Hutchie YOU haven't played the game"
and Hutchie should say
"Gary do you have to have walked on the Moon to know its there?"

Geez, I'd hate to see him being disrespectful.
