In a frank admission, Chapman said Port Adelaide's outstanding revival had contributed to the decision.

"With Port's resurgent, it has made us step up to the plate even harder," Chapman said. "We have got to continue to be rigorous and have higher expectations. It's been good for us, it's been good for South Australia and good luck to them."

Agree with your second part. You guys were out on your knees, barely breathing.
Only because our money was used o prop up you lot, and now the SANFL is still propping you up to the tune of $2million a year in opportunity cost to them.

Port's resurgent what? o_O

It would take some serious balls* for Dew to take on the head coaching role at Adelaide. Imagine how quickly they would turn on him if/when things weren't going too well.

*Given the absolute stunners the slightly overweight boy from Salisbury has had over the years I imagine his balls to be quite sizeable.

Just listening to AA and a person by the name of Lindy has just rang up in absolute tears saying things like
  • how can the club do this to a nice man
  • Imagine how his poor wife is feeling, especially with a small baby
  • Knives belong in a drawer not in someone's back
:cry::cry::cry:

It'd be career suicide if he took on that rabble, best bet is to jump the queue for the Bulldogs job.

Their list (well midfield) is just as talented as the corps & you wouldn't be hated by your past premiership club & it's supporters or get knifed by an inept board/administration after 3 reasonable years.

I for one would not want to be on the end of a spray from this bloke

The Crows weren't that good this year anyway. They were 2 and 8 against eventual finalists, and 4 of their wins were against the bottom 2.
