Classy Janus, really classy.
Look at your own board celebrating that we have injuries to Hartlett, Wingard and Trengove before flogging off on here.

Get your hand off it. Janus said something which he's already been called on and which he's already apologised for. It's not like he cracked Reilly over the head with a baseball bat himself. So take your holier than thou tripe back to your own board.
Not to mention 'people in glass houses' - not specifically about OoTC, but some of the things I've read over there about injuries to our players.

Its the same two old drama queens on the Cows board looking to knit pick.(pair of Esme Watsons)

The thing is, I wasn't even celebrating an injury. I just said that when you put spots up for grabs, things like this are going to happen because the players want to impress the coach and there isn't the prospect of a free kick if you get KOed. It happens everywhere in a competitive environment. Could I have said it better? Probably.

The thing I shouldn't have said was the last bit - somehow implying that it was this competition for spots that had a direct relationship to what happened to poor Reilly, as if there was something nefarious going on, when it was just a training accident. That was uncalled for, and they have every right to call me out on it. Unlike some people, I can admit when I make a mistake. It wasn't the first, and it sure as hell won't be the last :P

Hey guys, you are right it's your board ... but I don't think we need to be pointing fingers over something like this.

I have never, and would never take glee in an injury to anyone let alone one like this - and I don't believe the majority of footy supporters of any club would.

I reckon Janus would probably like to take back the sentiment of the post - or at least re-word it? I'd hope.

My comment wasn't vitriolic or intended to rile anyone up. I'm not that type of poster, on any board.

<EDIT> just saw Janus post at the same time as mine - no probs.

The crap that crows fans lay on Reilly is pretty bad anyway, he's often the whipping boy. Maybe a little sympathy will curtail their vitriol towards their own player.

But if she is..

the port players that are coming to the agd power cup event tomorrow are paddy ryder, wingard and two new recruits. stoked. quality players!

This club will always send high profile stars to its public engagements, whether it's signing autographs in a shopping centre or a more official engagement. And the players seem to revel in it.
I remember last year, in the same week Chad Wingard and Hamish Hartlett were off at Burnside Village, the crows had superstar Reilly Knight doing a handball competition at Westfield Marion.

They do now, but I remember around 2010 or 11 (?) going to a school holiday thing they held at Harbour Town where you had some 'treasure hunt' (the treasure were things like 10% off at Bra's and Things) and when you go to the end they had some Port players signing things. The only player I recognised was Marlon Motlop...the others were either new draftees or rookie list (only 3 players). The saving grace was as usual, Russ was doing handball drills, and my daughter spent about 10 minutes with him as nobody else was around.

Yeah, this is most definitely a KT thing.

Brent Reilly's head injury sounds pretty bad, I hope he's ok.

Football is football but the media are talking about him being in intensive care and possibly never playing again. That's not good.

No, football is tribal and we banter and put down opposition teams, but we are all people in the end. Hope this has a good outcome in the end

Plus he's a husband and father: imagine what his family are going through right now!!!

It's what you represent and refuse to take your fellow supporters to task over, hence you are a hypocrite. You cannot come here crying about what a Port supporter says, then say you'd never do it.

Have some balls first and complain to your fellow Adelaide White Tail supporters about injury trolling, when you do that you will have some credibility, until then you're just another ****ing whinger from West Lakes.
