Chris Judd was one of those players you just felt privileged to have watched. When you see the upcoming fixture and you see Port Adelaide vs West Coast or Port Adelaide vs Carlton in Adelaide, you get a bit excited. Not only you get the enjoyment of watching your team running around, you get to witness one of the champions as well.

Not the best way to go out on but was a wonderful career nonetheless. Well done Juddy!

I still rate Judd ahead of Ablett, only just though. I'm probably near alone on that.

The weird part is they are practically the same age.

IMO Judd's west coast years are arguably better than Ablett's best, but Ablett has been clearly the best player in the competition every single year since then in an increasingly professional environment. I’d have Gary Ablett as the best player ever because of that.

F**kwits like GROTTO symbolise why certain supporters should not be admitted into AFL grounds. Make no mistake, GROTTO is on the same level as the alleged offenders - complete and utter scum. Choosing to ignore the deplorable behaviour of Crows fans while singling out the behaviour of Port supporters simply affirms the actions of the Camry supporters who are evicted for misbehaving on a weekly basis. The sooner this insecurity from trolls like GROTTO who are so insecure they feel the need to point out the behaviour of a supporter bases ends, crowds will be less hostile.

The Camry's play Geelong in 4 weeks, I hope GROTTO has the same moral high-grounds to point out to Geelong supporters the perils of attending a Crows home game

I've been going to games against Crows and Port at Footy Park and Adelaide Oval for over a decade now and I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but more of your supporters have acted like dickheads towards myself (completely unprovoked) than Port supporters.

That incident was a disgrace, but as far as supporter groups as a whole go, Port supporters are only slightly worse than average. I cop more of the "fcuk off back to Victoria" crap from Adelaide supporters than from Port supporters. It could be the 119 factor, but I doubt that 119 would stop a dickhead from acting like a dickhead.

Judd was a damn fine player, but for me, some of his actions on field have diminished my respect for him a bit.
That midfield of Judd, Cousins, Kerr would have to be one of the very best ever, though.

Judd at his very best when he was in a good team > Ablett at his best when at Geelong but it could be said he was still on the way up.

What Ablett has done at GCS has been supreme. Judd at Carlton was not quite in his prime so its a bit hard to compare.

It's pretty rich to be saying "I would like to think that our supporters have matured and grown up over the last few years though" one post after basically putting out a smear campaign against an entire supporter base.

he did have a couple of really ordinary indiscretions. If only he'd gone the butt crack...

Grudgingly (can't forgive him for stealing the Brownlow from Tredrea but it is mostly a midfielders medal...) a brilliant player.

Funnily enough my most vivd memory is him playing on one leg against us in the qualifying final 2007. Palyed forward and kicked two goals. It was almost painful watching him limp around the ground.
It was a memorable game for several reasons. Cousins does a hamstring in the third quarter (such is life...) and Kerr missed the game (fractured finger). Port win by 3 points and choco gets a police escort to the hospital where his wife is in labor.
