Hawthorn had just as many hitouts in the first half... the problem is that Lord isn't even being competitive.

We've absolutely failed at adjusting to not having Lycett be competitive in the ruck contests.

You'd think we'd be good at it given we've spent most of the last 2 seasons doing it.

Instead we deliberately hamstrung ourselves by playing part timers and a player who wasn't ready.

Honestly this is such a wasted half of footy. I can understand dropping the tempo slightly. This has zero to do with the Hawks, and everything to do with the fact we're playing slow, reactive footy all over the ground. We're not trying at all. We've completely switched off, and as a result it is actually making it harder for us because we aren't putting in the initial effort and pressure and are therefore spending more time chasing.

Really poor when we had such a massively desperate need for percentage today. We had them where we wanted up 94 points and have let them eat away at 6 goals worth of that percentage.
