Practice match v WCE

According to an article on afl.com.au it looks like McPharlin, Ibbo and Mayne all wont be playing along with obviously Headland and Ballantyne. It also suggests Harvey is going to field as strong a team as possible apart from the obvious injuries.

If this is the case I doubt there will be too many youngsters playing apart from the ones who are a possibility for round 1. These include Hill, De Boer, Suban and Broughton IMO. Hopefully we will put in a strong performance.

By the sounds of the news reports we are going in with most of the key plaers getting a run. Will be interesting to see if Harves continues with the experimental positioning for this match. ( at least I hope it is experimental positioning ie: Grover up front Taz & Hase down back.)

Not a bad side.

Mayne, Ibbotson and Luke missing from best.
Hall and Ruffles probably won't play...

Probably a good thing. Two school boys, I have to say I think Ruffles will be some player, he knows where to run and has good skills.

No De Boer either and McPharlin is missing his second game in a row.
Assuming Scotty Thornton and Duffield play that leaves Mayne, Ballantyne, Headland and Foster who haven't played a pre-season game with only one left after this weekend. Campbell has only played about 20 mins also.
Mayne's ankle injury seems to be taking a long time.:(

Not a bad side although you would think there are about 5 or 6 atleast missing from the best 22. These include Hase, Ibbo, McPharlin, Headland (if fit), Mayne, Solly etc. Disappointed De Boer (obviously injured), Sibo (hopefully playing for claremont) and pearce (injured aswell maybe?) wont be getting a run. Happy that I will get to see some of the young guys like Suban, Clarke, Walters, Ruffles for the first time (Obviously some will miss). Also interested to see the likes of Duff, Tarrant and Hinkley for the first time this year. Not sure about gilmore and murphy but hopefully they can do something for once if they make the cut. Eagles squad looks descent also.

I reckon none of those guys will play round one.

love the pics guys espically the first 3 ip all of them showing what a complete dumb ass slopovich is .
may venture to the game myself cheap tickets ive heard $13.50 for an adult can anyone confirm this

Less than $14??????

For a derby????

Even if it is a praccy match, that's still less than half what I paid to watch the Shinboners belt our kids by 16 goals.

Get on down there and enjoy it, and pop some cash in the bushfire tins for me.

I expect a good match report from one of you too!
