Just wondering what people think of it.

Personally I think it is very ordinary. The only thing that helped fire me up before a game (not that I need much) the dancing girls are now gone. And that big dildo wielding fist thing that the power wheeled out whats all that about? People making pyramids cmon we can do better that that!

I know they dont like games being played prior to the big match but I feel it is the only way to go. Put on an amatuers game, under 19's Leauge or reserves SANFL match on, SFL or Hills league match on. Get the red coats out there after to replace a few divets and away you go!

There is complaints about the way people act at the footy perhaps if there was something to watch prior rather than your mate consume 4 beers some of this so called trouble (I have never seen it) would dissapear.

Anyway just a thought

I'm usually in the Carpark or Shed until 20 mins before the game....so not real fussed about the pre match entertainment

Would you go watch though if your favourite SANFL side was playing prior?

I usually arrive 10 -15 minutes prior to the game so don't really pay much attention to the entertainment.

I probably try and get there just before the team runs out just to miss the pre-match entertainment. If their was another game of football on prior to the game I might not mind arriving 30 - 40 minutes before, but wouldn't have a huge interest in the game unless I had an interest in the teams.. just something to look at rather than trying to see whats happening on the other side of the ground ( I usually sit in about bay 235 so everything happens on the other side of the ground)

hypothetically - probably for the second half........yes

Footy is generally a 6 hour exercise from doorstep to doorstep......so I couldn't see me adding to that - but I'd substiture some carpark time to watch SANFL.

However - we've been down this track with SANFL curtain raisers before and the issues it creates with SANFL members and AFC members and a finite amount of seating.

I wouldn't favour mixing SANFL and AFL.........They are a separate beast and the SANFL is just rediscovering it's niche........I'd like it left as it is...

...but that's just me

What was served up pre game was a load of crap from my point of view, but if Port supporter like that well good luck to them. Surely an under age SANFL game is ther way to go.

I thought the whole idea of pre-match ent was to draw more people to the game. So for me having a lesser standard footy match will not work. Something different is needed to encourage those who are on the verge of going. My suggestion is to introduce the cheerleaders to mud wressling.:p

I'd get there earlier if a SANFL match was on beforehand. Edwardstown U/13's vs Coober Pedy Grade 7's doesn't make me want to rush for the first Footy Express to the match.

They won't and can't put games on as curtain raisers anymore due to allowing the teams to warm up on the ground prior.

As long as there are no league and reserve games on I don't mind. 17s or 19s would be alright and would be a good experience for the young lads but I will fire up if they bring back SANFL curtain raisers.

The SANFL match day entertainment committee should also look at having a few amateur league games as a curtain raiser game (like Goodwood Saints vs. Gaza) would be ok. But I agree SANFL (league or magoos) is not an option.
