Are we the last pick in the PSD or is the selection based on where you passed in ND?

a) Freo - Pass 72, Rich - Pass 79, Haw - 86, Ess - Pass 95, GC - Pass 105

Or

b) GC, Rich, Ess, Haw, Freo

and

How does that look in terms of securing Jack Anthony?

no.. Passing first has nothing to do with it. Passing just means you have a spare list spot. It goes in draft order.. aka we're last. Not sure what GC and Essendon are doing, but Richmond are taking Houli, while Hawthorn are taking Bruce.

With anthony im not bothered if we get him or not.

He might get used forward but i have my doubts as he seems alot like murphy who couldnt get a game in our new forward line.
If we use him anywhere my guess is it will be down back but i think we have other options who would do just as good as him back there.

So if we get him good, FU collingwood screw us an we will get revenge. Plus he provides decent backup an applies pressure on both forwards an defenders for spots.

If not no big deal

I agree, we have plenty of options without anthony in the side, if someone else gets him, no biggie!

GC - Nathan Ablett
Rich - Houli
Ess - Neagle/Little
Hawks - Bruce
Freo - Anthony

I remember reading somewhere that GC where looking at possibly getting N Ablett on the rookie list.

So if not Jack Anthony any other choices with our pick?

Looks like Essendon will go for a young kid.... could Anthony be classed as a Kid??

Hird is known to be a fan of ex-Melbourne utility Cameron Bruce, but the Dons look unlikely to pick him up in the December 7 pre-season draft.

"Probably not," Hird said of Bruce.

"We have now got to turn our attention to the pre-season draft, so we will look at what we have got out of the draft and what we need.

"Our preference will be to take a kid. We have got, if not the first live pick, then the second live pick, so we will have a look at what's around.

"We can go back and see what didn't get picked up and the recycled players."

Warrick Andreoli would be a good player to go onto the main list in the absence of Anthony. I have another KF/Ruck that I want with the first rookie pick, but given that he is at very minimum a year of playing any senior football at all, you might as well put on someone onto your proper list someone who could theoretically play next year.

Have to agree with the sentiment that I am not sure about Anthony as a prospect, but then I didn't like Darren Jarman as a player either at first, until he became an undersized full / half forward superstar in his later years for Adelaide, and I can see a similarity between Anthony and Jarman.

From what I have seen I like Chalwell, Savage, or Kruse -

I think a big priority over the next 2 years is to get someone to replace McPharlin

Sibosado is your man. Honestly as someone that watches the draft prospects and WAFL a lot, Sibosado is as good a prospect as a FB/CHB as there was in the 2010 draft, and he has every aspect you want in a backman in terms of intelligence, size, speed, smarts, leap and kick.

Yeah, I hope he does well next year - is he still playing for Perth? I wouldn't mind to go along to Lathlain and see a bit of him next year. Someone on this forum was saying that he is a bit small to play down the spine, but I notice he is just 1cm shorter than Elvis. Would love to see him in Purple soon!

Really have liked the look of Sibo too, however more than happy to fill the list with options.

Anthony would be of instant use to us and looks to be a swingman of some quality.

I hope he gets to us.

I agree 100% Watched a fair bit of him this year and was blown away by how much talent he has. Can do it all including the pinpoint 50M pass to switch play and land it on a dime. The force is strong in this one. All between the ears for Sibbo.

He certainly sounds like contender.:thumbsu: Do you think his rate of development and scope for further improvement going to force the match committee to pick him from next season onwards ??
