Is Suban better than Crowley at tagging? At his best yes, but I am not sure he can delivery with no match practice.

Suban was poor yesterday, simply didn't lock down on his direct opponent.


I would like Taberner and McPharlin to come back in. I am not sure about Crowley, is he available this week? If he is, then a good game this week in the WAFL would have make the call to play him easier.

Yep think it would be very risky to pick Sutcliffe again, could go out of a game very early, would not pick due to injury alone.

That doesn't make it true. Sutcliffe isn't a great one on one defender, and his shoulder is a huge risk. Grey might be a better option - better purely defensive defender, and healthy. The risk is his inexperience obviously

Sutcliffe wasnt that impeded by his shoulder injury, he hurt it, but I thought he stood up quite well in defence.

Coaches do it all the time. Never seen it work. It looks so incredibly desperate. Ross played Clarke who was useless even when he was fit, with a cracked rib. So I wouldn't expect anything better from Ross.

He came back on and played well, so it may not be that bad. Knowing Coaches, if his arm hasn't been amputated he will play.

I would only consider Crowley against the Hawks to play on Mitchell or against Richmond to play on Deledio.
I hope Griffen is ok to play.
Tabiner must be a good chance if he smashes it in the Peel game.

Crozier should of replaced either Suban, Mdb, by now, has better skills, speed, and footy nous. I dont think playing him as a
small forward is the right position for him. We have enough similar types already running through the middle, and lack spread
and carry. Suban, Mdb, C Pearce, Mz, are okay footballers, but the reality is we can do better.
Forward line is still lacking, a two tall pronged attack is imperative, if we are to lift our offensive game. I prefer Tabs to play, but
A Pearce anyone except Clark. What changes have we made to the forward line from the 2013 GF?
Get Dawson, Tabs, to pinch hit in the ruck, we will do better around the ground even if we lose those ruck duels, Clark is a
liability ATM.

Taberner just need to kick 2-3 goals, take a few marks and thats it. Really don't think he has to have blinder, doesn't need to.
Crowley is an interesting one, we've been alright without a negating player in the middle. Fyfe, Mundy, Neale and Hill have been exceptional around the ground. Think if Suban only gets 4 possesions, then just play Crowls.. One thing have to worry about is the game has changed a bit in a season, so will he be up to the intensity and pace ?

Don't like Sutty as sub, but hard to fit him in otherwise. De Boer an all-day runner.

*afterthought - don't risk Sutcliffe, Crozier for sub, possibly. Might offer a bit more as a game-changer, if he's on.
*second afterthought - swapped Mayne and Pavlich. Pav leads up the ground more effectively, and I'd trust him from 50 out.

I was 50/50 with Clarke yesterday. Wasn't bad, but didn't stake his claim. I think Griffin comes straight back.
Crowley is fit, would be a big upgraded on anyone currently tagging. Had no one that could stop Hanners McVeigh or Kennedy. Almost cost us.

Johnson & our defense was fairly average & the mids conceded way too many i50s. Thought Dawson was ok. Tippett hard to beat when Sydney delivered it out in front without pressure on the ball carrier.

Edit - DeBoer had 22 touches with 16 hand balls and somehow went at 68% efficiency. That's horrible.
