So the revamped Round 1 fixture could look like this, with Old Mentonians out of the VAFA for 2023:

Parkdale Vulture v Old Ivanhoe (Gerry Green Reserve)
Old Camberwell v Old Carey (Gordon Barnard Reserve)
Marcellin v Hampton Rovers (Marcellin College)
PEGS v Mazenod (PEGS Sporting Fields)
BYE: Ormond

Which means Ormond's first game for 2023 would be against old rivals Hampton Rovers for the Buxton Cup the following week.
