I didn't peg you as a premature speculator, Max, especially at your age. It can be said that in recent seasons the Pirates have jumped out of the blocks and then lost their mojo in the second half of the season. Don't think that will be happening this year.

Pirates could've won by another 7 or 8 goals without some very easy misses. I've said it before and I'll say it again - the Pirates home ground gives them no favours whatsoever. It is too small to help any modern team to play the game they need.

Congratulations to Ormond for putting on a magnificent ANZAC commemoration prior to the game.

Able to catch up with some BF legends today, especially Bedford. It is great to speak to people who bleed for their clubs with both eyes open.

Quote of the day. Ormond President said "how did these guys beat Kew". This comment as justified and came in the 23rd minute of the 1st quarter when were 6 goals down, and lucky not to be further behind.

Seeing two Ormond boys making their debut at 17 made me feel really old.

After getting 10 points up in at the 20 minute mark of the last kicking with a 3 goal win, the questions was how far for OI, but the Brown army never gave up, got 8 points up themselves. OI had the last four scoring shots, being 1 goal and 3 points, resulting in a one point lead which we were able to hold onto.

The "after game" was fantastic with both teams well represented.
