Howdy.

Saw a photo of the Essendon Football Clubs Premiership/Trophy/Award Cabinet.

2 Large glass cylinders with the 16 cups rising upwards.

Beautiful effort by the club to put some thought and pride in showing off these.

Was wondering if anyone has pics of the other clubs Trophy Cabinets.

The "family club" of Hawthorn like to keep their trophies in a cabinet away from the prying eyes of their "family"?

I would have thought they would put at least some of them in the museum they have there at Waverley. That is surprising. poor effort Hawthorn. Carlton's used to be on display for the public...haven't checked for a while but it reminds me the last time we won a premiership was a long, long time ago. 1995. very sad.

er we dont really require a cabinet
neither do the other lot mate.
They are mostly insignificant VFL trophies that no Interstate sides were a part of so there is hardly anything to brag about when you weren't even competing against half the comp.

Erm, sorry mate, but the lions and the swans have been playing in this league since its foundation.

Now, as to the worth of those shiny bits of tin in port's trophy cabinet...

Just cause there's lots of interstate franchises in our league now doesn't mean anyone in Vic gives a s**t about them either, just a few more games that no one gives a **** about each week.

So who has Fitzroy Cups?

Brisbane Lions or the Fitzroy Reds in the VAFA?

The Brisbane Lions have the cups.

The Fitzroy Reds no longer exist. They were incorporated into THE Fitzroy Football Club (who once competed in the VFL-AFL) in December 2008.
