I have no interest in booing Goodes. He's been an amazing player and this could well be the last time we see him in Perth.

Can't wait for this game. Can never under-estimate the Swans, particularly if it is a wet day but without Kieran Jack and Luke Parker I just can't see them winning in the midfield.

I remember your post on Alex Pearce a couple weeks back-

Safe to say you're a shithouse troll.
to be fair, I was right on the money about Pearce. he might be a handy player in the future, but he's far from it now.

I've been a MDB hater this year, but his last 3/4 weeks have been good.
I swim against the tide. He is no champion. Not by a long shot. But if de Boer is the last person picked in your best 22 then you are not going to be the worst team in history.

And it is fair to note that we got zero from Crowley, Mora and Sylvia, and not much from Crozier and C Pearce. That is where our depth faltered. Next season there should be a fair bit of competition coming through the ranks.

I can almost guarantee there will be some flogs in the crowd who will think it is funny to boo Goodes, remembering too that not all in the crowd will be Freo or Sydney fans.

out of respect and to make these clowns insignificant, I think the best thing we can do is give Goodes a rousing Fremantle cheer when he comes onto the ground, and when he gets his first touch. From there on, he should be treated like every other player on the field, and booed if he warrants booing.

I think the thing that gets most people's goat is the almost constant booing he cops from some crowds whenever he goes near it - he certainly deserves better than that.

Go for your life. I'm not going to boo him unless he does something that deserves it (takes out a player etc.) but there is no way in hell I'm cheering him walking onto the oval or cheering any of his touches against the Dockers in a final at Subi. Wouldn't do it even if it wasn't a final but absolutely no way no how in a final. What's he done so special to deserve it?

Will cheer the Dockers, boo the umps and boo any dirty opposition tactics or plays like usual.

Fair enough MadDocker, that's your call and all power to you.

I appreciate and cheer champions of the game from any club but that's just me.

Was just suggesting a one-off cheer to say we respect him and are not racists. From there on all bets are off!

I'm sure guys like Sonny Walters, Michael Johnson and all the other indigenous champions of our club would be proud of their supporters in that moment.

Not knocking you. If you feel it's appropriate to cheer him because he's a champion, go for it.

Best thing we could do to avoid being racist is to treat him the same as any other player IMO. Probably is a nice gesture to cheer him and make him feel welcome after the racism thing, but, I'd rather keep the cheers to the Dockers.

As long as we win and there are no nasty incidents, we'll probably all be happy.

I think the booing of Goodes is inevitable, if he stages/dives and its a close contest.

Though I think Freo will win easily, Sydney have the odds stacked against them this year. Last year, they had their best chance but couldn't get a flag.

It won't happen but Grey would actually be a terrific match up for Rohan.
I agree, Rohan is going to be a key player for them too bursting into space for a mark up field.

Shutting him out of it is important and I'm not convinced any of our small backs can match him on a 100m lead.

Would be a pretty amazing story to have Grey play a vital role in our first premiership after hardly playing at all until the last minute.

Damnit! Will be very disappointed if Clarke gets a game based off his Port game.

Sucks for big Griff.

That does suck for Griff but I think Clarke offers much more, we've all seen what he can do.... the only worry is if the poor Clarke shows up.

It has to be Dawson or Taberner, unless Clarke was told to rest up.

He was awful.

Agreed. Sadly he looked completely out of his depth in a meaningless round 23 fixture, so not sure it would be realistic to expect him to come in and play a role in a qualifying final.

We where all scathing re Clarkes game but I remember David Parkin saying that after a severe concussion you feel right but the brain just can't keep up with the decision making.Zac did suffer a severe head knock and a seizure a couple of weeks ago.

its not completely out of the question if Sutcliffe does't come up. Ross gave him a massive wrap after the Port game.

Brady grey to break in and play as shutdown role - he did do a good job on wingard and get plenty of the ball himself 75% efficiency, however Suban has more score involvements which is what we need also.

Hard for me to say it but Suban has to be it.
