I can only see the Crows and Swans games. Already out name down for Port game but can't see Freo or Lions. Must be sold out or date has passed?
M8 i won't be going give me a pst and i'll see what i can do don't tell anyone though not allowed :)

Bad call on the iPad app. NRL and A-League teams all have individual iPad apps. On another matter - is there any thought to releasing the brilliant On Track doco on DVD?

RFC_Official Quick question on media appearances. Who determines which players front up to the media for a press conference? Does the media have a say on which player they want to speak to or does the club just nominate a player?

Thanks.

Chosen by the media department in here as a general rule. If there's massive demand for a player to speak at any given time, usually around an incident, a milestone, playing old club, etc. the amount of requests would probably influence that player speaking, but in a normal week it's chosen in here.

Cheers

hi stig,
i brought this up to the last rfc official and he shrugged me off.......
So my observation was/is that the pre game drummers need mic's!!!! its a bit dull the noise, it needs to really pound the foundations!! mics will take the drummers from something gimmiky to an absolute rock show...... i sit in the mcc so im actually close by, its not loud enough!!!! it needs to be on the top of your list of things to do tomorow morning!!
....p.s. we didnt have any sound effect to go with the big screen and light show after goals?? it was a bit flat, if you cant tell im a fan of noise

Fair call re. the drums - I'll bring it up Monday, although I'm not sure we want to make it into an all-out rock show. There won't be anything done for the Anzac Eve match, because there's a different pre-match schedule there, but I'll see what's said for the Geelong game.

We don't want to have speaker noise after goals. Round 1 showed this and the feedback we saw in pre-season and following round 1, we think, made it the right decision. Been to a couple of Crows games in recent years where they were 10 goals down and still blaring their Crow and calling for people to cheer - we could be wrong, but that's not what we want at our games, especially the margin part.

Could I suggest taking a sound bite of the tigers crowd in full roar for a goal when the G is packed, and just playing that quietly after a goal with the crowd to make us sound even bigger and intimidating?

I liked that Tiger walking around on the LED's before the game. Not our cartoon logo one but the actual ferocious tiger when it said welcome to the jungle

More Tiger roars please

Eye of the tiger just works for us too. Never get rid of it. Maybe one day 60k tigers will sing it. Would be epic

"For two seasons Atlanta used artificial noise during games in an effort to create confusion while opposing teams were trying to call plays."

That is a form of cheating, I just mean the sound we make when we kick a goal, over the top of that sound to sound like there are 100,000 Tigers at the ground, only after a goal, not during play.

Yeah, example was a bit extreme.
Think when we're playing well enough, the extra noise shouldn't be needed.

We thought the real tiger on the LEDs came up pretty well too.
