The (only) beauty of Nicks being our coach for 6 years is his identity is clear.
He has no answers. He panics. He reacts after the fact. He diverts blame and responsibility. He makes poor decisions. He is a boring, vapid speaker.
And our players play EXACTLY like that when it gets tough.
We will never succeed under Nicks because he has a loser identity. We need a winner

Posted before the bounce that there was a bit of West Coast at Subiaco mid-2016 about this one. It was either another "nup, couldn't deliver" or a "yep, we've arrived".
We can't deliver.
The players didn't have a spread of contribution, yes. But Nicks' lack of urgency - once again - to recognise that he needed to make changes at half time, is actually mind boggling. Yes Matthew, sometimes you can make changes during games that are close on the scoreboard if you can see where the game is going to be lost.
I look forward to a flogging of West Coast next week to make everyone forget that we have a coach out of his depth (still).

What we saw is a hyper professional and efficient football team with what I consider the best coach going round right now vs a team that crumbles under any kind of pressure.
Those missed set shots were bad.
Panicked every time the ball hit the ground. No answers; compared to craig mcrae who seems to absolutely relish making game time moves in response to players and conditions.
Collingwood are full of players that can assess the situation and not panic. Polar opposite to the smash and bash of the crows.
Can't help but feel the score line flattered us from general play.
p.s. i hope people can stop talking about milera like he will make this team better, it seems a weird cycle on this board where he plays badly and everyone wants him gone, he will get injured, the forum gets amnesia for when he returns hoping he will be the missing piece, then the cycle repeats next time he takes some time off.

Milera was awful today, but what the hell happened to Keays? The guy was completely invisible the entire match.
I’m not shocked. Absolutely frustrating losing to them again.
