Tex has been playing better than Fogarty most season…

Murphy Jesus Christ, what has to happen for Nicks to actually realize this guy can’t play football? Its honestly perplexing.

Collingwood make 4 changes while top of the ladder (some as ‘illness’ but tell me they wouldn’t play if it was us). Meanwhile, we refuse to make any changes because we don’t want to unsettle the side.

When we get injuries we’ll be debuting Edwards or having Draper play his 3rd full game because we didn’t give them a decent run during the season.

He did say shuffle the deck chairs.
He’s not suggesting Edwards in for Tex.
We shuffled Max forward to fit in Smithers.

We shuffled Rachele to sub to justify Murphy.

Shouldn't be hard to fit in Edwards if we really wanted to....

i dont agree with bullying. its pathetic tbh. but at the same time, players are relentlessly bullied by the crowd during games. So im not surprised its happening. Its probably only a small minority of ****wits that are doing it. I dont agree with it. I have never bullied a player. Even on here, i have no problems with Murphy as a person, he probably is a genuinely great guy. Everything should be based on an assessment of whether he can AFL football, and the answer is no.
ANYONE who bullies a player IRL or online are dickheads. How insecure must you be as a person to feel the need to do that?

We limped Ricciuto to break Ben Hart's (then ) games record tally and arguably cost ourselves an elimination final win (Massie on Franklin not withstanding)

Roo was a complete liability in that final game - ended up with half dozen possessions? If that?

Roo had an actual quad injury from memory, Tex just looks worn down and needs more than a single week freshen up. I thought he started pretty well against the Tigers in terms of his movement, but he wore down pretty quickly. I wonder whether looking back he’d prefer to be carried to 300 like Fireman Cornes or finish his career contributing in Finals with a properly earned 290 odd next to his name.

Which isn’t 2 weeks. 2 more weeks would mean we’d have to win a final to get him to 300. If we lock in top 4, he might get an extra game off.
If he is close at season end, we could move him to the rookie list next year, bank on an LTI to someone happening, then get him his last few games against say, west coast and richmond at home or something

Is Pedlar still injured? Still says test but he’s not even on the ins . Hate how we say injured but really he was dropped. So much more potential with pedlar . So frustrating we are playing Murphy ahead of him now
Named in the forward pocket in the Snaffle on the weekend.

If he’s on the rookie list he can play anyway, no LTI required. Im probably in the minority, but I reckon there’s no achievement in getting 300 in that way and history suggests it overshadows the 290 that were fully earned. I remember back when the footy show was watchable and when Newman’s 300 came up there was always a laugh about it because he was beyond cooked and carried there. Same with the 5 minute fireman, I just don’t think that’s what you want remembered when your 300 game career comes up.

Dont need a long term injury to play a rookie listed player anymore. Rookie List is just an extension to the senior list and on lower pay.

Had back stress fractures, couldnt tie his boots up for around 6 weeks.

Definitely no quad injury, this article he’s quoted saying he had knee and groin problems that needed surgery. So fair to say, combined with the back, he shouldn’t have been putting his hand up for selection and we absolutely shouldn’t have selected him. But as is usual, senior player’s personal assessment carries a lot of weight when it comes to whether their body is up to it. You’d think we’d have learned then that they’re not to be trusted.
