Keane thinks he's way better than he is and needs to respect his opponent. Scholl so weak/scared.
If a player with Rankine's skills can get 18 contested then scholl can at least try to tackle.

His opponent got gifted nearly every goal. Keane was good.

Peatlings pace in the middle is a pleasant bonus
ROB was excellent against a very good ruckman
Hinge is a one grab straight line metres gained beast

Wayne plays until Nasiah is signed

Nank play reserves

That’s my G B and U

Peatling - Best game for the club and showed moments of why he was hotly chased by 6 clubs
Curtin - A Dawson lite game today, kicking goals, marks in defence/wing and applying great pressure
Soligo - Started the year strongly, going at 28 disposals and a goal a game, some elite kicks
Rankine - 30 disposals, 8 clearances and some of the cleanest passes you'll see in the comp
TT - Just a beast, just as dangerous as a mid as he is a forward
Tex - Shaky start but great from the second qtr onwards
Worrell - Might be a sneaky AA chance so good to see him starting to truly shine
Hinge - Such a pivotal part of our defensive structures and rebounding

Quieter games from Dawson and especially Crouch but well accounted for by Soligo, Rankine and Peatling, big step forward for our future.

Neal-Bullen pretty quiet but still the pick of the incoming recruits this year. Peatling above average. Cumming is karmic balance for getting away with the Rory Atkins trade.

Dawson weirdly ill-disciplined and unprofessional.

Still looking good, but the depth (or lack thereof) for Adelaide is worrying after exactly one injury.

Upgrading my sarcastic reference last week to the potential of Rankine drama last week from 1:10000 to 1:1000.

Peatling was elite today - best game for the club -he’s so bendy!

I'll take Nank's desperation, willingness to defend and take the game on over Milera spectating, refusing to put his body on the line and continually being led to the ball by the hit up half forward he's supposed to be covering.

But thats nit picking, good scrappy win against a team with some talent and belief....pretty much how most predicted the game would go.

Good win without our stars really firing.

Hinge is a gun. Elite leg and his defensive stuff was top shelf.

Peatling I thought was great.

Tex going to prove to be important. Still playing great footy.

Soligo, Rankine, TT, Michalanney solid

Borlase doesn't look at the level. Milera I think is finished.

Odd game, but still a decent win with a few below their best. Fog had a bit of a stinker, and Dawson and Crouch had no impact.

Tex had a rotten first quarter but stood up afterwards and ended up with a terrific return. Laird was huge in his 250th, and Hinge, MM and Worrell really stood up down back. Also, loving Curtin and Draper's progression and TT continues to dominate. Peatling played his best game to date too and showed exactly why we were into him.

All in all, not one for the ages, but still a positive to get a six goal win despite plenty of room for improvement. North gave us a decent contest too which is precisely what we needed heading into next week.

Thought is was a very mature performance considering Dawson and Crouch weren’t at their absolute best

Peatling best game for the club, Soligo awesome and Maxy just keeps growing

Thought Borlase did a great job on Zuurhar and Hinge was also good off HB

Not to mention Vintage Tex

Thoughts:
We played pretty horrible footy aside from some good transition. So many poor decisions and skills even by our skilled players. Our best players really down today and we relied on a few to stand up. North have improved. They weren't a basket case and looked fairly solid. Clarkson probably having an impact.

We should gave won by a few more goals at least.

Good:
Hinge bog. Gun
Soligo
Peatling after q1. Really lifted.
Laird close to bog. Really solid for us down there.
Michalaney
Curtin break out game. Looking really good!
Draper looks composed!
TT another excellent game. 3 in a row. Bodes well for our season.
ANB solid as usual.
Tex was good not could have been a lot better!

Average:
Dawson was close to bad.
Rankine same.

Bad:
Everything else. Special mention to Keane, Borlase, Sholl, Milera, Keays, and Fogarty. A lot of poor performances today!

Sholl is so soft defensively
Yep, you put up with it if he’s getting 25 posies and setting up the forwards. When he doesn’t have the attacking contribution to balance his defensive deficiencies it really hurts us.

Milera is the same. I’m fine having him if he’s taking on risky kicks and setting up breakaway transition, however these days he takes the safe option with the few times he gets it, and gets caught trying to fend or break tackles. Not sure what Nank has to do.

Sholl struggled because our inside midfield struggled to get the ball effectively to the outside. Also affected Cumming and Neal-Bullen

Rankine, Soligo and Peatling the pick of the mids. Dawson was down and Crouch very poor.

Peatling only had 5 CBAs today for 3 Centre Clearances

I gather that he was pushed forward more with Rachele injured but I hope we're not going back to our 4 centre square mids only structure that we've used in our poorest recent seasons

Well played Crows, too slick for us.

1 question. Is that a really stupid time to schedule a game at AO ? Really hard to watch on the telly, players at the grandstand end having trouble all game with the sun. And the red ball ? Difficult to pick up as well.
Unfortunately we were both bottom 4 last year. Gonna cop the shit timeslots. But yeah, horrible start time for the reasons you stated.
