Preview R4: Changes vs. Fremantle

ROB is fine.

We didn’t get a whole lot out of Of Murray or Maley. At least ROB can ruck the whole game if it something happens.

He had a terrible end of the year but he had a pretty good stretch prior to his contract extension. He plays his best footy when his career is on the line and no better time than now.

I think against Freo it makes sense he comes in, and hope he goes well.

I'll be very very surprised if Caleb May isn't the most dominant ruck in the SANFL this year outside of ROB himself. The blokes a man mountain 207cm 109kg out of the Swans academy/Allies in his draft year a couple of years ago, endurance was one of his better talents as well. God knows what May measures in at now height and weight wise.
What’s the knock on him if the swans didn’t draft him?

Disgusting that ROB is being considered

Give Edwards, Draper and Dowling opportunities ffs
Oh for goodness sake. NONE of those have the height to be second ruck. Lets see how it goes. He's a handy back up IMO.

They’ve got to do something, McAndrew can’t run out a game.

I don't think it will work but I am kind of curious how we will split the're time.

I assume we'll try to McAndrew all the CBA's and ROB as many around the ground stoppages

Fremantle is probably the best team to try it against

Nicks when Dowling or Edwards smashes the SANFL: "Meh - look at the level of opposition😏😏😏😂"

Nicks when ROB smashes the SANFL: "YES ROB!!!! YOURE IN!!!! 😍😍😍😍"
Agree with the first bit.

The 2nd is our desperate attempt at running 2 rucks to save Thilthorpe from a life threatening injury

We could be in for the single dumbest selection decision in AFC history today.

Best get a slab.

Fill the esky with ice.

As usual crows being reactive and dumb.

Cue the AFL socials post "welcome back ROB"

I’d rather have Maley as a backup ruck instead of ROB. He’s more flexible around the ground. ROB and McAndrew in the same team wouldn’t work.

I was mentioning the other three as they deserve time in the team instead of Jones.

What’s the knock on him if the swans didn’t draft him?
Brodie Grundy
Will Green - Pick 16 1st round same draft
Peter Ladhams
Hayden McLean - Forward/Ruck

Only knock on him was not overly athletic but a brute of a lad.

Caleb May
State: NSW/ACT
State League Club: Sydney Swans Academy
Community Club: Southwest Sydney Blues
Date of Birth: 13/05/05
Height: 207cm

A mountain of a young man who is still developing his ruck craft. He has taken giant strides this year with the Sydney Swans Academy and played a key role in the ruck for the all-conquering Allies at the National Championships. Under the tutelage of renowned ruck coach and former star Steve Taubert, he applied his craft in averaging 33 hitouts and 13.4 disposals in the Swans Academy’s five matches in the Coates Talent League before playing all four matches with the Allies to give their midfield great support.

see how Pedlar goes in there, but it doesn’t seem to be in our plans.
I know I oversimplify, but it's our Nicks. The man took until 2026 to pop Rash in the mids, should have been in there forever, at MINIMUM since 2023 when he was so good for many games when the chance was given.

Pedlar absolutely could burst through the middle. Think the Wizard at Hawks. Pedlar not as good, but same impact/spark injection.

At least TRY IT Nicksy!
