Agree on his disposal.
On the good ship "Adelaide Crows", Nicks used him as the proverbial Chief, Cook and Bottlewasher. It's no wonder some aspects of his game have suffered. Teams know they have to stop him to defeat Adelaide. Rankine also have a low by his standards in that period.

Coincidence their form suffered whilst having to pick up Crouch’s slack? Players don’t perform in a vacuum, what’s happening around them has influence. Notice the improvement in the defensive 7 too. Playing a crab that can’t spread or impact defensively outside of dead stoppage balls causes grief in the middle and behind the ball.

Oddly there was a champion data stat which came up a week ago where Dawsons best performances typically came when we lost. It was something ridiculous like Adelaide lost ~70% of the time if Dawson was a top 5 player on the ground by CD rating and would win >50% of the time Dawson wasn't.

Rankine on the other hand was the person you had to stop - though they didn't give the numbers for it.

I’m not the one whinging about a ten goal win FFS. You are nothing if not consistent. We don’t win - oodles to complain about. We DO win, you’ve got to come up with something, anything, that helps your “how shit nicks is” narrative.

He didn’t whinge about a 10 goal win. He asked a reasonable question about the player with the best clearance to CBA ratio getting the least amount of CBAs of the group that went through there.

If you don’t have a view, don’t comment, no need to go on an emotional rant.

It's reeeeaaaally good, isn't it?

Too short - the defender can impact, too long - keays can't get there, too high - the defender has time to get body on keays.

He did it just right, and didn't have much time with the decision making either.

It's been real hit or miss over the past 4 games, with 2 great ones & 2 poor ones... & our result has mirrored this.

Need a plan B when plan A isn't working.

It’s a bit of a chicken or the egg thing, is a player who plays well in wins, a down hill skier or is the team winning because of this player?

Should play full minutes and just stand in Butters way.

Don't hate me, I'm just the messenger - Nick's in passing the other day when asked about Brodie Smith more or less confirmed that he would remain in the side for the Showdown and that Hinge would also come back in

Without spending much time thinking about it you'd think if anyone was going to be dropped to make way for Smith it would be Nankervis

He has built his body up and has more pace. Given the chance, I am expecting a breakout year from him.
