Not really, I'm finding it more interesting, particularly now that it's more legal and less tawdry.

In fact I'm with her, Rann's defammation action and settlment merely over the claim that he got her fired not over the intercourse claims seems like an implicit acceptance of the fact they did the dirty deed.

Personally I don't care who Mike Rann has sex with (in fact I'm disgusted at the thought) but by lying about it this long just makes you look like a ****er. Also, as a bloke whose repeatedly cloaked himself in a moral crusader costume his personal conduct does become relevant.

It's pretty alarming and sad to see things like that happening amongst kids that age, when normally the worst they do is give each other a black eye. This again raises the issue about how schools are dealing with bullying, as incidents like this are usually the result of prolonged abuse. We don't want to end up like the UK or the US where bullied students often take matters into their own hands.

Absolutely, the general feel surrounding the Columbine High School student’s massacre and many others who take this course of actions is the fact they were bullied and feel they have no other way to deal with it.

I’m not saying they are right in what they have done or can justify doing it (because that is still every wrong) but every education facility has to take bulling serious and implement tougher and serious consequences to anyone who doesn’t follow. And any thread of anyone having a weapon should be taken serious as well.

Send your kid to school in the morning and never see him/her alive – would not know how to handle it.

Nope, I love watching Ranny squirm! He's as guilty as hell (no way would Michelle put her marriage & family at risk by admitting she'd had an affair if nothing happened) and I can't wait for him to take the stand in Michelle's ex's court case where he can't lie and has to admit that something did actually happen. But of course it's just a coincidence that he won't take the stand until AFTER the election . If he just admitted that something happened between them none of this crap would still be going on and SA wouldn't have stopped trusting him, but no, he's denied that ANYthing has happened between them and now looks what's happened.

Yes.
It all started when Ranny got attacked because Michelle had admitted to her husband that she'd had an affair with Rann, her husband attacks Rann, Rann says "I have no idea who he was", a few days later "he's the husband of one of my friends" a few days later, Michelle: "I had an affair with Mike", Rann: "we had nothing but a friendship."

So yes they had separated before she spoke out, but the reason they separated was because she confessed to him that she'd had an affair with Rann.

Na, it was a liberal mistake.

Construction started in 1995 and stage one was opened in 1997. John Olsen was premier as he won the 1997 state election. Stage two was opened in 2001 and Media Mike defeated Rob Kirin in the 2002 state election. Once stage one was built, it was too late to start again.

And if you do you think this makes more sense then the idea that his wife was having an affair with someone and he sought some kind of revenge?

I'd wager he'd at least be under the belief his wife was having an affair and hence the assault even if it didn't actually occur.

Looking objectively at the facts:

• Rann strikes up a friendship with a waitress of all people
• This friendship transforms into numerous phone calls and 100s of text messages.
• The Waitress's marriage falls apart
• The husband spends two years trying to get into contact with Rann
• The husband taps Rann with a magazine
• Rann denies having any idea who the man is.
• Rann has some idea of a minor person.
• Rann comes clean about 'friendship'
• Waitress claims affair
• Rann sues for defammation but not in the grounds of the claim that the affair was defammatory.

You're telling me that doesn't make a strong circumstanial case that Phillips was at least under the impression that Chantelois was having an affair?

Ive ignored the stuff about Ranns admissions etc, because hes a politician. We all know they manage the media in an attempt to control the light in which issues are portrayed/covered. That in itself doesnt constitute evidence of anything.

See, its your rabid and bordering on blind acceptance of everything Phillips has spouted that makes me wonder about your agenda, because i know you're not stupid enough to be unable to fathom the concept that people can act irrationally. Ive dealt with the jealous boyfriends of girls ive been friends with before. If one of them writes me letters, tries to ring me etc accusing me of something, i tend to not communicate back. Even more so if its a jealous ex. Maybe they should take a swing at me for daring to allow their fragile egos to be hurt.

If you want evidence of the blokes arrogance, just look at his actions. Anyone who thinks they can assault the head of Government within a state, and get away with it clearly has some issues of arrogance.
