Could always change it to like in the US with 4 or more way stop signs, basically whoever gets their first goes.Plenty of traffic lights still out.
Always amazes me how much better the traffic flows when there are no lights. People become quite courteous, also alert because they have to pay attention. I bet if they did a study and turned all the traffic lights off for a day there would be fewer accidents.

"Trees down" was an understatement out in the eastern suburbs. Hallett Road was an absolute disaster zone on Tuesday morning.

From what I hear, the area around Wirrabarra and Gladstone are already burnt. Shouldn't pose too much of a threat now. Also Laura , Wirrabara & Galdstone

Canberra hasn't been as hot as Adelaide, but the heat has been setting records here too. Today is expected to be the 20th day of 35+ temperatures this summer - 2 more than the previous record. The long term average is 5x 35+ days per summer.Adelaide has just beaten a 117 year old record. 12 days over 40 degrees in a summer. Still got one more to go tomorrow as well.

Do not give a toss about the winter Olympics.
Does the AIS or whatever the Olympic body is help fund any of our athletes?
