Adam Goodes = Laurie bellotti

 

[Doctor Jolly]

Goodes - Gun. Need 3 of him. Best dual brownlow medalist around.
O'Keefe - Very good. On the decline, but still top notch medium forward.
Bolton - Defying age, but last good year is this year.
Hannebery - Good young player. Swans are relying on him becoming the next star.
McVeigh - Better than Salopek.
Jack - Very good. Will become a star in next few years.
Kennedy - Very handy.
McGlynn - Awesome player. Can he avoid serious injury the way he plays ?
Malceski - Almost finished I'd say.
Rohan - Young, needs to lift.
Smith - Average.
Jetta - Lot of expectations, hasnt delivered yet.
Everitt - Good pick up. Will be KP defender in years to come.
Moore - Fat, unfit.
Bird - Good. Better side with him in it.
Meredith - Average.
Mumford - The equal of Jolly IMO.

Better list than most.

Goodes - Much better than Josh Jenkins
O'Keefe - Dunstall was a better goal-kicker
Bolton - Not as short as Garlett
Hannebery - Will never have as good a career as Carey
McVeigh - Balder than his brother, but more relaxed about it
Jack - Got the runs on the board over K. Hunt
Kennedy - Mitchell is a better clearance player
McGlynn - Would rather have Riewoldt (either)
Malceski - Rodan gets back to form faster after he does his knee
Rohan - Redder than Merret
Smith - Swan's tatts are better
Jetta - Skinnier than Essendon's
Everitt - Not as tall as Sandilands, nor as good in the ruck
Moore - Fatter than Hill (all of them!)
Bird - I would rather have Judd
Meredith - Not as outspoken as Jobe Watson, never seen him in the media
Mumford - Way better than Bailey and also more likely to get a weight watchers gig

What's with all the Sydney vanity threads?

There may be some degree of over compensating by the fans for the media largely ignoring the Swans despite finishing 5th last year and will probably do better this year. It's as if there was a hole in the list of finalists last year and Swans fans are keen to fill it with red and white.

Take the first three rounds of 2011. The previews are all about the opponents (Dees, Dons and Eagles) when we learn all about how much they have improved as a team and individually before we get to the last sentence that's some variation of "but they are playing the Swans so will probably lose".

O'Keefe - He doesn't annoy like Milne does.
Bolton - Like a fine wine. Probably up there with Milburn types of elders.

They have a strong club culture that sees kids play their roles well.

Sam Reid, Jetta, Rohan & Hannebery will dictate whether they become a top 4 side in the next few years. Really like the look of TDL too, has a lot of upside.

You're absolutely right! It's not alphabetical, or by size or age, or even by earnings.

It's merely a collection of names and can hardly be called a list at all.

Liking what they are doing with their list.

They overloaded on vanilla (they won a flag with a very vanilla side with a supreme defensive gameplan) but now that they are topping up with more freaky types like Gary Rohan, they are approaching 'dangerous side' level.

I reckon they just need to find perhaps a Phil Davis type CHB to replace Craig Bolton, and perhaps another silky midfielder to complement Kennedy and Jack and they will be cooking with gas.

They will beat us very shortly.

Sydney fans woe is me attitude on BF is quite hilarious. Always moaning and whinging that people don't rate them. It's like they thrive on it and want people to say it so they can whinge some more. Why do you care so much what others think about your list or where you will end up on the ladder, etc? It's probably as bad as North fans woe is me attitude on here.
