Friday Night.

Essendon FC v North Melbourne FC. (TD)

Both teams have been excellent at some point or another this season, and both have also been terrible at one point this season... Last week... Essendon were beaten by a more determined Melbourne, While North were the far more superior side to the depleted Eagles line up.... Both teams play the Dome pretty well... In a ladder shaper for the Roos... North by 4 points.
My Crowd prediction: 46,500

Saturday Afternoon.

Carlton FC v Sydney FC. (OO)

This game is back at the old Carlton dunghill. The blues are in terrific form, while the Swans are extroadinarily inconsistent... Both teams need a win to gain ascendancy on the top 8....
My tip: Carlton by 23 points, because its at Optus.
My Crowd Prediction: 24,500

Collingwood FC v Hawthorn FC. (MCG)

Tough to pick.... I'll say Collingwood just, but with no real confidence... they were pretty good last week, Hawthorn had the bye, so they should be fresh, and i wouldnt be at all suprised to see an upset... Luke Shackleton is tipped to make his debut on the weekend... Pies by 2 points... My Crowd tip: 39,560

West Coast FC v Geelong FC. (S) (N)

Hmmm, The Toasters were terrible against the Roos last week, and Geelong were fanstastic the week before against the Lions. Geelong have done well in recent times over there... and if they win this game, they will be well on there way to a top 6 birth in september. Geelong by 13 points.. My Crowd tip: 37,605

Brisbane FC v Richmond FC. (G) (N)

Ah well, its Richmonds turn to face the Lions at the "Gabbatoir" and good luck to them... Richo has been in good form, he's kicked 38 goals in his last 10 matches.. but they lack any other real goal kickers... Brisbane too strong in all areas, by 58 points... My Crowd prediction: 33,205

Sunday Afternoon.

St Kilda FC v Port Adelaide FC. (YP)

If this game were at the Dome, the Saints would win hands down, but Its at Tassie, and the Power are flying.... It is a real toss-of-the-coin tip IMO... St Kilda by 2 points.. My Crowd tip: 17,000

Western Bulldogs FC v Fremantle FC. (TD)

Freo in Melbourne = yuk... Freo destroyed Bulldogs last year in Melbourne = yuk..... There isnt really much of an advantage in terms of conditions.... Bulldogs by 14 points. My crowd tip: 15,540

Adelaide FC v Melbourne FC. (AS)

Melbourne are flying, there supporters think the flag is theirs....
Adelaide on the other hand, have sacked their coach, lost 2 key players and all is lost, seemingly.... Even though uts at Aami, Melbourne are a gun side.... PLAYER WATCH: Jarrod Rivers...
Melbourne by 44 points.. My Crowd tip: 39,906

*Shock, horror* People are actually tipping Carlton? Maybe you haven't heard this yet; but Fevola has been suspended for two matches and Whitnall will probably miss the next two as well (due to bone bruising - it was not a stress reaction as feared).

Well I'm just hoping for the boys to get over the line. Without a forward line, it's going to be bloody tough!

Forgot that.

I'll change my tip to Sydney by 24

No i knew that.... i think Carltons lesser liks up forward, (Davies) etc.. will step up and do the job nicely.

Some interesting selections there Bruce..

I reckon there will be a few upsets, mainly West Coast and Adelaide.

Port Adelaide 'should' get up over St.Kilda.

And I like the look of Hawthorn over Collingwood. Hawthorn a week off, Collingwood playing the previous week.

DeLuca and Kouta might get the two positions respectively. Watch out for Livingston - he needs to prove his worth but sadly hasn't had the opportunity.

Carlton would be playing for a penalty shoot out with the forward line at their disposal.(Watch this bite me on the arse)

Friday Night.

Essendon FC v North Melbourne FC. (TD)

A simple question of can Essendon's midfield beat the Roos midfield. Enough supply to the forward line by the Dons and they should scrape home in a tight win. Look for Goldspink to once again put in a BOG performance for the Bummers.

Saturday Afternoon.

Carlton FC v Sydney FC. (OO)

No Fev, No Lance, No hope.
Swans by plenty.

Collingwood FC v Hawthorn FC. (MCG)

Collingwood would be dissapointed with not getting the 4 points this week after a strong showing, given another week to heal Rocca, the return of Taz and Bucks hitting his straps the still depleted Dorks will bleed, and bleed badly. Pies by a truckload.

West Coast FC v Geelong FC. (S) (N)

The E.Girls habem't been inspriing, but did the break come at the wrong time for Geelong? The break makes this one a toughie, but at home the Eagles, just.

Brisbane FC v Richmond FC. (G) (N)

Will the boys fire up for Danny "Don't Cry for Me" Frawley? Haven't done it in the first 13 rounds, don't expect them to this week either. Brisbane.

Sunday Afternoon.

St Kilda FC v Port Adelaide FC. (YP)

A neutral ground evnes these two sides up a bit, and methinks the younger Saints spent a bit too much fuel in the first half of the season. Port to kick clear in the final quarter for the win.

Western Bulldogs FC v Fremantle FC. (TD)

Every round has one of those games you never look forward to, and this one is it for me. Do the Doggies have enough to knock of the Dockers? In a twist of irony Freo to notch up another road win while the wheels start falling off at home. Dockers.

Adelaide FC v Melbourne FC. (AS)

No Ayres, no Carey, no Smart.... no difference really, this year anyways. Just can't see where the goals are going to come from for Adelaide unless McLeod kicks a dozen from the midfield....

Dees

Essendon vs Kangaroos:

goin for the roos. bombers looked very uninspired against melbourne and some other teams. roos need to win this one to stay with the 8. ROOS BY 25

Carlton vs Sydney

carlton do well at home and sydney havnt travelled that well so i tip CALRTON BY 41

Collingwood vs Hawthorn

depleted hawthorn unit will come out firing but fail to stop the pies who gain tarrant back. PIES BY 18

Eagles vs Geelong

geelong looks the goods but eagles look good at home. geelong's backline will swing the game in their favour i reckon. CATS BY 10

Brisbane vs Richmond

wont even bother to do a preview. BRISBANE BY 65

Saint Kilda vs Port Adelaide Power

port look like a good team even with injuries. saints wont have the same home ground advantages they'd have at the dome. PORT BY 21

Western Bulldogs vs Fremantle

freo will get torn apart with a lackluster effort by a dogs team that is hungry for possible finals. DOGS BY 37

Adelaide vs Melbourne

with no carey to kick their goals and no smart to hold neitz or robertson, demons will run wild. DEES BY 50

Essendon by 24 (should be pretty tight throughout, more on the line for the Bombers at the moment and I just think there a little better in most areas of the ground than the Roos are, will need to control the likes of Grant and Harvey to win, while the Roos will have their hands full with Lloyd and Hird)

Sydney by 30 (play Optus well and should hold no fears playing Carlton there minus there only match winner)

Collingwood by 1 (won't be pretty)

West Coast by 18 (venue factor)

Brisbane by 60 (no comments neccesary)

St Kilda by 10 (will be a great game, Saints a tad too good)

Western Bulldogs by 6 (venue factor - Fremantle shouldn't expect a walkover like it was last season)

Adelaide by 30 (new coach means victory at home)

North by 20 pts
Sydney by 1 pt
Hawthorn by 36 pts
Geelong by 28 pts
Brisbane by 103 pts
Port Adelaide by 3 pts
Bulldogs by 2 pts
Melbourne by 1 pt
