Problem with the aussies is NO Lee, NO Mitchell, No Clarke and we are in trouble.
Braken is an awesome bowler but he has to hold us up too often and Tait cant do mor then smash the ball down the wicket.
Bring Dorey and Bolly into the side..:thumbsu:

Dorey won't ever play for Australia again.

Btw, where was Johnson tonight?

Northy's got a great domestic record. Avg 40 in OD and 44 in FC.

Doesn't seem like they are interested in him though.
His bowling record is not bad either.

But you are ignoring the most important point Juddy... he is Western Australian.

And once you realise that, you also realise why old men like myself barrack for touring parties - including the Saffers.

To do otherwise is unconscionable as a real Western Australian.

North would be in with a big chance if David Hussey wasn't there. Hussey just has the runs on the board at the moment. North just has to keep making runs and his chances will come.

When Johnson comes back, it will give the side a lot more flexibility and could possibly let Australia play another specialist bowler. With Hopes at seven and Johnson's test batting form, they could get away with it and have a pretty strong bowling attack. However, it would leave the side a little short on batting and I don't think the selectors would go for it.

BTW, who is that in your av juddy?

Amity Evans.

Warner in for Clarke.

http://content-aus.cricinfo.com/ausvrsa2008_09/content/current/story/386672.html
David Warner will play his first one-day international on Sunday after being picked to replace Micheal Clarke, who was ruled out of the South Africa series with a thumb injury. Warner starred with a breathtaking 89 in the opening Twenty20 and was kept as cover for Clarke before being sent home to Sydney on Thursday when the vice-captain appeared to recover from a problem sustained during the Perth Test.

Aus problems aside, Duminy is going to be a ****ing good player. Ashwell Prince's injury was a blessing in disguise for the Saffers.

Agree, Duminy will be the best in the world, one day.

The thing about the Saffers is that no matter how well Duminy has gone, Prince will come straight back into the side, no matter what.

That's the Saffer policy.

I think they give it on Foxtel these days..have seen a few adverts for it on the Aurora channel.
ahh yeh I dont have fox CK so I miss all the good stuff :(

I would like to see Warner in the Side as well as Hughes.
But I think we need to flick Tait and White and Hilfy
Ther are better Bowlers out there and better All rounders too.

I think if we have these 12 players on the line up next game we wont lose.

Warner
Marsh
Ponting
M.Hussey
M.Clarke
D.Hussey
B.Haddin
J.Krejza
N.Bracken
Bollinger
Siddle
Johnson

So you want a Michael Clarke with one hand?

Warner
Marsh
Ponting
D Hussey
Hughes
White
Haddin
Bracken
Johnson
Siddle
Tait

Tait is, and if he's not, should be a specialist one-day bowler. Gets tired too easily when he plays. Hussey can bowl spin, so can White - 6 bowlers, 2 all rounders and 7 batsmen - plus Johnson, who is no slouch.

I don't think Michael Hussey should be in the one-day side. Give him the Test matches where he has infinitely more time to play his shots.

White is an incredibly ordinary bowler, either he plays as a batsman or not at all. His batting is barely up to international standard anyway.

So play him as a batter. Or get North in his place.
