Toast Reasons for Optimism

I'd Like to give the club and the recruiters a pat on the back.

Over the last few years, players have left and the sky was falling when they did.

"What is wrong with that club???"

Here we are with a deep list and (possibly) a chance to snag some players at season end.

If they want to go, let them. Don't let the door hit your arse on the way out. Just ensure we get compensated.

I was saying this to a friend who is a wce supporter regarding Reid. I mentioned it wouldn’t be the end of the world as it wasn’t when they lost Judd.

Weller into Brayshaw still makes me smile.

NOD and Reid
Massive reasons for optimism. I’ll add Simpson to the list as he has shown that he has a high level when involved.

NOD could be a top ten player for us this year. His ceiling if consistent might be higher than that. And if that is the case we get a serious bump of improvement in the team.

Reid seems to know how to find it and use it! Work ethic will determine his tank. The first two are harder to improve than the latter. Huge deal for us.

Here's a reason for optimism for round 1. From The West;

Fremantle won’t be forced to face another match-hardened opponent in round one after the postponement of Geelong’s clash with Brisbane due to Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
The Dockers were set to be the only club in the AFL to play an opposition that had already featured in Opening Round for the second consecutive season, after hosting the Lions at Optus Stadium last year.
The Cats’ season-opening fixture at the Gabba, scheduled for Thursday night, was officially called off on Tuesday as the category two cyclone bears down on Queensland’s coast.
Last year’s preliminary finalists will now kick off their 2025 campaign against Fremantle at GMHBA Stadium on March 15

I don’t think we played all that well in the practice match, and never looked like losing that game. If we can bring that form into the season we will be a big chance for a top [emoji640].

Playing bad and still winning is a huge marker for a really good team. So maybe we are a really good team.

And Melbourne weren't strolling around and have strong top tier mids. We will win games this year not playing our best. I can't wait for it to start!

Which of course means they believe we were disadvantaged by the original fixture!
Did they say that earlier?
Subtle bias?
Anyway...

FLAGMANTLE!
YOKAI!

Excitement is building! The season is finally upon us. Optimism is high and the team is in great shape to be 4-2 after 6 games. We have some of the best young talent in the league and class on every line. We will also see improvement across the ground as players continue to develop into their potential.

What a time to be a freo supporter!!

GWS won without Hogan Green and Stringer plus Briggs was concussed early

No excuses

We can win this
