Listening to schoey on his backchat podcast. He has high opinions of hickmont, said if he viewed mitchell as the best coach hes played for then hickmont would be second.

He also mentioned hickmont would take players who would require a bit more coaching to get the best out of themselves under his wing like ryan and yeo (when he was transitioning from a defender to a mid). Shoey specifically mentioned hickmont was a great developer of players and that he was able to tap into a players potential.

He also gave a massive backhander to the midfield group basically saying hickmont was specifically shifted there to sort them out and that if he couldnt get through to them then theres no hope.
