At least you can say Eleni has improved. She's now significantly better at bouncing the ball. I remember her umpiring her first game against us and barely being able to get the ball to bounce above the rucks heads.

True, but she's still shit and should not be an AFL level umpire. Razor Ray and that bald guy also stand out and they are pretty average too.

The AFL has a big umpiring problem. They need to raise the standard, or if that is not possible, simplify the rules to make umpiring better.

All this talk of how good Gil has been as a CEO but I think he's actually done a lot of stuff that will cause the league big problems over the next few decades. Umpiring is so Symptomatic of his approach, make it all look good on the surface and redirect attention away from a growing problem. Players were getting fed up so they just change the rules to crack down on umpire abuse. Classic AFL.

I blame the AFL. They keep introducing and changing rules / interpretations that don't need to be changed. They make it much harder than it needs to be.
