Carlton ?That is just delusion. They should have hired a coach to get them through a 3-5 year rebuild. The last thing North needs is to bounce up to just outside the top 8 for a few seasons, as they will just be stalling the inevitable (which is what they did in 2018 and 2019). Take your medicine, sit in the bottom 4 for three seasons or so to get top end talent, develop them and then grab some role players via trade etc on the way up to get you back into contention. Carlton and Brisbane both showed the way to do this.

Aren't they American? Or am I missing the joke?
I'd always thought it was US based for some reason. Learn something new every day!Unless London was part of America in 1851 the answer is, alas, no.
Lol who were the posters who frothed Banfield when we passed over him?
and I still think he is a better footballer than a couple we have on our list.No current season stats available
This just keeps on getting messier and messier
Absolutely. What's to stop Collingwood - who have been dicks through this whole thing - just walk away and say "He's your player now. We never agreed to pay him anything."

It sounds like that's what they're hoping for. Eddie is saying the Dogs will remember how he and the Pies stuck up for them when issues around competition equality were flagged and they voted in favour of equalization measures etc etc. Like there's some goodwill to consider in the negotiation? Unreal.
No wonder Bucks has come full circle of being a ******* again with a leader like that.
My understanding from the articles is that the trade has been agreed to, has been ticked off by the AFL and is awaiting official paperwork lodgement.
So, if there is no agreement on the paperwork - and it is not lodged - does the trade go through?
It is very much amateur hour from both the clubs and also the AFL though - money was basically the whole reason he was being traded - so that should have been the basis of negotiations rather than an afterthought.
I had a tenant once who would always be late on rent. We'd have a phone conversation and he'd agree to pay $200 by Friday. Friday would come around and he'd give me $100 and deny we ever had a conversation about the $200 and insist he said he'd pay $100 and he'd have no idea where the $200 came from.
Collingwood probably agreed to pay $300k/yr to get the deal done, now they're denying that. From what we've seen play out so far there's no doubt that the Pies are the ones that are playing silly buggers. They're basically that tenant.
That's the Freo effectHe started his career well. Tapered off quickly though...

The AFL will mediate an outcome and make some special allowances if required. That is how they solve all their problems.Yep I agree it looks that way.
So what can the Dogs do about it? We know the pies can't afford the $900k (or the issues) if Treloar were to walk back in to the club, so surely they have to sign on to the agreement eventually...
Frawley signs to the Saints. Will be interesting to see how he goes. With that in mind Jetta must be able to get a spot somewhere.
Probably a few things at play for Frawley, not least of which is a family connection and two close Hawks contacts steering the Saints ship now. Actually it might be three Hawks contacts.
