Does Luke Hodge think Dunkley is a left footer? I’m pretty certain he’s a right footer. But what would I know, I’m just a fan on my couch not a professional being paid to call the game...

Bailey Smith done 3/5's of **** all tonight.

It’s basically:

Am I getting tackled?

If yes: Do I have enough players nearby so I can drop it and make it look like a I made an effort to dispose?

Yes - drop it
No - dive forward

I don't want to trigger you, but it's no wonder we don't tackle. What's the reward? You voluntarily take yourself out of the contest. This is probably more of a midfield thing.

We don't tackle enough i50 but when we do they get rewarded, and this feels the same across the league.

GWS trying to emulate our game plan, but don't have the targets up the ground to make it work.

Bulldogs are as overhyped as the Demons, possibly more.

TBH if they had a more tactically minded coach, they could be seriously scary. They have all the pieces for a fantastic team, but they just keep being let down by the fact they’ve refused to hire a goalkicking coach for ages.

The fact that Naughton is still kicking like a backman thrown forward, despite the fact this is the third season since his change of role, is truly baffling.

It’s a fair call but it’s more about tackling technique. It’s not so much tackling to hold the player up but to try and dislodge the footy IMO

And that one. I think teams are now falling forwards when they get tackled to force an 'in the back' free. Been plenty of pretty soft ones late that don't look like the tackler has driven momentum into the tackle and thus made no effort to roll them.

Nothing new about the tactic, been going on since the 53rd pick in the 2008 draft, it's got an official name it's called the " Son Son Manoeuvre ".
